My mom literally did this last night when I was complaining about how many times I’ve been assaulted or made to feel unsafe around male acquaintances and friends. It wasn’t even about who I was dating but she said I need to hang out with a “better group of people,” despite the fact that this kind of shit has happened in every type of social situation I’ve ever been in regardless of how “good” the people are. She really fucking thinks the people she surrounds herself with are better. It’s so hurtful bc she makes me feel like I’m just surrounding myself with bad men and that’s why I’m hurt, even though I am exceptionally careful who I’m around.

I can’t even imagine how terrifyingly awful that situation had to have been. Forcing a woman, against her will, to undergo sedation and then waking up in pain, without the fetus you’ve been carrying for 9 months? That’s beyond the pale. How much do the rights of an unborn fetus circumvent the rights of a full-grown adult? How much do we have to other the mentally ill, treating them (us) as less than human? She was literally treated like a breeding animal, with no cause of concern for her safety, mental health or well-being. Fuck. Fuck.

If an employee in a pharmacy makes a snide comment - Front store workers, pharmacists, or Pharmacy Techs give you shit? Gently (Or not so gently) remind them that the waiver they signed upon being hired legally binds them from commenting on your purchase, as it is a violation of privacy laws. Doing so is grounds for INSTANT termination and hefty fines.

Pharmacy workers (white coats) are legally obligated to ASK if you need an explanation of how medication works and any side effects, any medication conflicts etc. If you decline, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ALL TO MAKE SNIDE REMARKS OR FARTHER COMMENT ON YOUR PURCHASE. FRONT STORE EMPLOYEES CAN NOT AT ALL COMMENT IN ANY WAY, IN ANY STORE WITH A PHARMACY IN IT.

Know your rights. If this shit happens? Call them the fuck out and ask to speak to a manager. Get worked up. Cause a scene. Threaten a Lawsuit. If you see this happening to someone else, and they seem to be struggling, speak up for them.

As a Pharmacy worker, you bet your ass I’ll protect you and your privacy. IT’S MY JOB.

This kind of behavior from your child is worrisome and is a definite sign that you need to sit down and talk with him (or her, as I looked up things like this as a kid too). My parents never found out when I looked up porn and as a result I became addicted, hypersexual, dysphoric and misogynistic. Children need to be told that women are human, not objects, and that porn is wrong and dehumanizing. It's natural to be curious about what you're attracted to, but porn is the absolute wrong way to learn.
