KARI’S OFFICIAL FIRST-EVER ART COMMISSIONS POST so here’s the deal, kids. long story short my job is screwing me out of the hours i need to be able to pay my bills, so i need to find a way to make up the deficit. since i have yet to determine winning lottery numbers and i lack a generous rich uncle, that means i’m turning to you guys in the hopes that you would be willing to trade some monies for some art! i draw everything by hand. all my sketches are on actual paper with actual graphite, and anything digital is scanned and edited from there. therefore, if you would like, for a $2 sentimentality fee + S&H, i would be happy to send you the physical sketch/manual inking of your commission. i charge a sentimentality fee because i like to keep everything i draw in a massive binder i stash under my bed and parting with my sketches is actually kind of sad for me, but if you want the physical piece i will live through the pain for two extra bucks and the cost of shipping (which will be determined based on your zip/location code: i will ship anywhere, but i am in the US so shipping to other countries might get spendy). sketches can be done on doujinshi cardstock or textured linen paper. What Kari Will Draw:

any canon human/humanoid character that references can be provided/googled for

any canon animal character that references can be provided/googled for (animals are not Kari’s strongest point, and tend to be Disney-esque in style. also i kind of suck at birds, for the record.)

any type of pairing that is not bestiality (het, m/m, f/f, anything in between)

basically any sort of pose/situation that isn’t super-gory and wouldn’t require an NC17 rating

period clothing

genderbends

AUs/Crossovers (these are my favorite, akshully)

catgirls/boys

…yeah basically anything that isn’t gore or smut is probably fine, really.

What Kari Will NOT Draw:

furries (catgirls/boys are okay, or characters with other animal-like features such as wings/tails/etc, but i don’t do full anthros)

gore (blood for effect is okay, but nothing extreme, no maimed bodies or limbs going in directions they shouldn’t, etc)

smut (hugging/kissing/cuddling/etc is fine, tasteful nudes are fine, but nothing explicit, no bondage, no fluids)

original characters (had too many bad experiences with people who were never satisfied with the way i drew their designs, so only preexisting characters i can use references for. the ONLY exception to this would be ponysonas, which i would be willing to do, because those are pretty easy since really the only thing that changes is cutie mark and hairdo)

land/cityscapes, or things that are not people or animals (i can’t draw a straight line, basically. people are my strong suit, with animals coming in second. machines and hand-drawn backgrounds are a big nope.jpg)

commissioned pieces can be scanned to the size/resolution of your choosing, however exceptionally large digital requests may require additional fees, since my computer is crappy and really really big images tend to crash it and therefore it takes four times as long to complete them. additional figures are $5, additional busts/faces are $3. complicated outfits, armor, or particularly intricate props may require additional fees that will be discussed before finalizing an order. basically if you have an idea but aren’t sure where it might fall on the pricing spectrum, feel free to hit me up and ask! KH3D SPOILERS HERE. can we talk about this for a second? yes, this, right here, this Axel’s sporadic dives into self-deprecation. i hate the way fandom seems to think this means he is depressed, suicidal, and in a constant state of self-loathing. everybody gets down on themselves sometimes, even tsundere firebending badass wiseguys like Axel—that isn’t a carte blanche for you to write your “edgy” modern-times fanfiction where he cuts, drinks until he can’t stand up, smokes like a chimney, is addicted to any number of illegal substances, and just generally doesn’t fucking take care of himself because he doesn’t know how to handle how completely fucking broken he is. sure, his oldest friend has become a complete tool and treats him like shit. sure, he lost his heart, his home, and whatever family he had back in Radiant Garden. yeah, he’s a bit emotionally retarded and has spent a good portion of his life living a fucking lie, but you know what he does? he deals with it. Axel lost everything, and then he fucking lost it again. he fucked up, and he knew he fucked up, and he really honestly wanted to fix it but he just couldn’t because everything got away from him, and when he really thought the only way out was to die? he didn’t just fucking roll over and die, he went out in a literal blaze of glory so that the kid who was half of his best friend could go on and save the entire fucking universe. damn. and then? when he found out he had a second chance? despite the fact that he’d completely forgotten one of his best friends and the other was potentially never coming back, he still didn’t just fucking give up. he marched right up to fucking Master Yen Sid and demanded to be trained. and even when the training proved more difficult than he expected? he still didn’t give up. he infiltrated the fucking Organization anyway, rescued Sora’s scrawny ass, and held off his old friend and his bigass fucking Claymore WITH ONE FUCKING HAND. and on top of all that? he volunteered to bail Riku out if he got lost in the Darkness again. i will be the first to admit that Axel’s a bit screwed up. he’s possessive, he’s too proud, his sleeping patterns are obviously complete rubbish, and i’m pretty sure he’s inhaled enough smoke to kill a herd of elephants. he may not be a paradigm of personal health, on any level at all, but he never fucking gives up, and he would never just wreck himself without a good fucking reason. there’s an old saying that goes, ‘find something worth dying for, and then live for it.’ Axel did that in the absolute most literal way possible, and seeing the fandom so often represent him as this self-hating loser who seems to honestly believe he has nothing to live for and drinks to make the pain stop and then throws himself under a fucking train or off a bridge or cuts his wrists in the bathtub… it just blows my mind. Axel may indeed be broken—hell, he’s been broken to pieces several times—but like the bones within us he has healed that much fucking stronger for it. he doesn’t give up because living for the people you love is more important than dying for yourself: got it fucking memorized? Axel’s my fucking hero. FIGHT ME.
