Nico laughed, clapping Percy on the back. “You fall for it every time! If you weren’t so hilarious when you’re frightened, I wouldn’t do this!”
“You’re probably right about that,” Ted shook his head slightly. “I really don’t have any idea. Still haven’t left Thneedville. One day, though.” He slipped his hands into his pockets, and tilted hish head to the side slightly. “Uh, well, there’s a hotel pretty close by, if you needed a place to stay? It’s supposed to be pretty comfortable.”
“A word of advice, traveling is not all that it’s cracked up to be. Sure, it can be fun, but it can also be a chore. Make sure you go somewhere you want to see.” Nico smiled, “A hotel sounds lovely! Better than sleeping on the ground!” He appreciated when he didn’t have to camp on his travels. “My name’s Nico, by the way.” He introduced himself, sticking out a hand.

Nico thought the word ‘found’ was being used a little too loosely. He had been barreled over by a pooch when he had gone to visit New Rome. He had not been there for quite some time and it took him a moment before recognizing the girl. “Hello, Aurora...”

"M-Mister Hamada... It's one in the morning. Are you okay? What are you doing in the lab?"
“Hwhat–?” Papers scattered across the floor as the young inventor jolted awake. A smudge of drool and ink was smeared on his cheek. “Sor– Sorry, what?”
Now that he was up and getting his blood circulating again, it occurred to Tadashi what Nico had been calling him the entire time. He burst out laughing.
“Sir?” he echoed. “I’m only twenty-one. You don’t have to call me ‘sir’ or ‘mister’ or… anything. Just Tadashi’s fine.” He grinned groggily at the younger and added, “But, yeah, thanks. Do you know where the Lucky Cat Café is?”
Nico blinked at the older boy. “W-Well... You’re the prodigy here,” he resisted the urge to say ‘sir’ here. “I just want to be respectful.” Hearing the location he nodded. “Y-Yeah, a few of the others in the lab showed it to me. Good food.” Nico babbled awkwardly.
“Hey, don’t look at me. You’re the one getting us lost-!” He skid on his shoes, sliding on the ground. He caught himself and ran around the right, following as best he could. “Don’t you live a life under pressure?! Aren’t you supposed to be some kinda super powerful person?!” Okay, so maybe he didn’t pay that much attention.
“Just because I have powers does not mean that I know everything! My sister is a better navigator than me!” He glared back at Hiro before seeing a beam come falling down. “Look out!” He cried, diving toward the younger boy.

Nico grinned and ran over to meet up with his boyfriend Jason, seeing the tall blond waiting by his locker.
“Hey, baby!” He greeted the other male, always happier when he was with Jason. “What’re we doing tonight? Mom’s taking Bianca out shopping out of town for prom dresses.”
“I hope so.” Jason smiled, “But tonight, it’s all about you.”
Nico leaned over in his seat to kiss Jason’s cheek. “It’ll be great. I love our alone time.”

Nico walked into his cabin, spotting his sister snoozing on the chair. Chuckling, he grabbed a blanket and draped it over his older sibling. “Sogni d'oro, sorella.”
“Non proprio, ma starò bene. Come ti senti?” Bianca laid her head on Nico’s shoulder. “How’s your training?”
“Non preoccuparti per me.” Nico shrugged, trying not to disturb his sister too much. “Training is... difficult. They don’t let me use my powers anymore so I’ve been getting frustrated. I’m no good without them.”

Nico frowned at Honey Lemon, confused as to why people would say that. She was smart and helpful and (if Nico wasn’t gay af) she’d totally be his type. The blonde hair and blinding smile were exactly the sorts of traits he tended to like.
“You’re kidding, right? They must mean crazy smart!”
“It’s nice to hear that someone still calls me Aiko.”
“Everyone just calls me Honey Lemon and they don’t even bother to know my name,” she laughed. “Oh, by the way, any experiments lately? What’ve you been up to?”
“I think Aiko’s an awesome name, it suits you... Maybe even more than ‘Honey Lemon’ does.”
Nico shrugged, “Working on a couple of things. My main project is an invention to turn clothing into comfortable armor.”

Nico didn’t stumble and didn’t flinch, allowing the girl to hit him. He didn’t know what he’d done to offend her but there was no use in fighting her off. He stared, emotional pain flashing in his eyes. “What was that for?” He deadpanned.
Amai shrugged when he wouldn’t tell her about his father. Whatever. Everyone had family issues. She tried not to think too much about it, since it seemed he didn’t want to say much.
“Boooo,” she told him. “People are great! Don’t you like learning about different people and the different worlds we all live in? It makes our tiny world so much bigger!” As she was blabbering on, she waved at friends she saw and occasionally blew a kiss at fellow soccer players. “What class do you have next, Nico D?”
“I keep to myself. It’s easier on everyone that way. I don’t have to hear about your problems and you don’t have to be disappointed when I tell you that I can’t help you.”
Nico was beginning to wonder what on Earth this girl was on. She was much too cheerful. “I have Biology.”
