Survive-thrive
Through parching heat and cloudy days
Through the days I water and forget again
Blooming where planted, they thrive.
And so it is with life…
MONOLOGUE
I always thought Niagara Falls was a hype until I got to see it myself. I was beyond excited.
The sight and sound of the falls were majestic (yes, deafening too). But, that rainbow kept my attention. Later, sitting down by the park and watching the water flow until it dropped over the edge, I thought about the flow of water, the current, gorges and many turns it takes. I recollected writing 1st person essays (like monologues) about a coin, pencil and such in middle school. What if the water had to say something?
I'm sure it would say something like this: I had no idea where I was going and from what height I would fall but I will keep flowing because I was made for a purpose, I know my creator and I won't resist the flow. I am full of awe and wonder and beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Calls for implicit faith, am I willing?
The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps-Proverbs 16:9
A glorious end
“There’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
While it's a great proverb to express comfort, consolation and hope in difficult circumstances; there's also the aspect of the journey and the time in the tunnel that counts. And that's what was on my mind as we drove through.
The time in the tunnel right now for me doesn't look anything like I would hope for my life to pan out but I have learned to ride-along with God. Choosing Jesus to be the one to lead my journey is the best thing ever! Unfavorable situations come, I don't know how long the tunnel is but remain hopeful. Thankful, I'm not alone.
God controls the timing of His will. While in the waiting room, He wants us to know Him (Dr. Andrew Pflederer).
Spring
I wake up to the gleaming bright sunlight through almost-sheer white curtains Spring is here, Summer not far behind Oh, did I miss the alarm again?
I groggily grab my phone I peer at the time still a few minutes to tick away Oh, did my body clock beat the alarm again?
I hear a faint chirping of the birds I shut my eyes tightly, find reasons to sleep in so much to do once my feet hit the floor Oh, did I already give in to anxiety?
I lie awake in bed, eyes wide open I search my mind for connections from the night before and the day ahead me Oh, did I get ahead of myself again?
I prop up my pillows I start planning the course of the day there’s joy and there’s dragging feet Oh, did I just set the bar too high?
I go through the motions I contemplate and anticipate with hope there’s someone who’s got my back Oh, dare I think I am alone in this!
Perspective
Prisoner of the past. Adventure ahead!
Locked up inside. Venture outside!
Bars a barricade. Picture grid!
Cropped view. Beauty in the view!
Drab grey snow days. Sunshine is a state of mind!
Dark inside. Specks of light streaming through!
Winter blues. Golden hour hues!
Warm inside, cold heart. Cold outside, warm heart!
Humdrum. Thankful!
The choice is ours!

Jesus and me
Jesus left his home above To come live in my heart
Jesus hung the cross So I could know the father's love
Jesus wore a crown of thorns So I could have the crown of life Jesus was stripped and beaten So I could be clothed with forgiveness Jesus endured suffering and shame To buy my pardon and innocence
Jesus' body was broken for me So the pieces of my life can be held together
Jesus shed his blood for me So I can receive healing
Jesus was looked down upon So I could lift my head up high
Jesus died for me So I can live freely
Jesus conquered the grave So I can have victory.
Jesus rose again that early morn So I can find Him in my darkest hour
Jesus keeps all His promises And I can count on them always
Jesus makes His face shine upon me So I can reflect His glory Jesus walks with me So I’m never alone on life’s journey
Love of another kind
True love is a treasure so rare It's not available just about anywhere.
True love on world's color palette Is the choicest shade to date.
True love is a reward of a sincere wait It can never be gained by a bait.
True love is to share & care Rising above troubles that flare.
True love is a drug if you dare You'll never know how you made it there.
True love does not lose its way With all of life's hardships, never frays.
True love does not change with trends It loves its good old-fashioned sense.
True love is a test if you please It flourishes when taken with ease.
True love isn't something that comes rushing in It never leaves you crushing within.
True love is a place of safety In a run-down world brings solace.
True love is like a rock on the beach It stands firm amid lashing waves.
True love makes history When you tame its wild fury.
True love is a verb Its action remains constant.
True love is a breath of fresh air It sails on the wings of the wind.
True love in moments of silence speaks In volumes where words fail.
True love has a face Reflects God's love & grace
True love is like a sandalwood scent Its fragrance stays locked in.
True love is a gentle breeze Blows it's coolness when hard times press in
True love is a melody It blends life's rhythm and harmony
True love is an inner feeling Flattery has no place in its depths within
True love is a language only hearts entwined echo its speech.
True love is God-blessed strung together as vine and grapes. True love is a warm embrace arms of love hold it in steadfastness.
True love is a life-long play Unfolding lovely scenes every day.
True love is a dream galore Where bliss and happiness like raindrops pour
True love grows old with the sands of time It leaves its footprints as frozen memoirs behind
True love strings life's little moments Makes memories for eternity.
Brand : NEW
As the night rolls back its dark curtains, a NEW DAY dawns.
As our mistakes and regrets are forgotten, a NEW PAGE turns.
As our past is eclipsed, NEW OPPORTUNITIES are in order
As our spirits begin to soar, a surge of re NEW ed HOPE hovers.
As mercies unfold & our dreams realised, a NEW THING awaits us. As those running a race, a NEW GENERATION we’re justified by grace

Trust & Obey
Drawing a parallel almost literally (a lil variation) but kinda feel like it this morning.
History: The disciples toiled all night and caught nothing but when morning came their boats were filled- a reward, fish caught! *A result of obedience & trust in what Jesus said.
Today: Worked hard all night on a project but had this half feeling of 'I hope the client likes it' while planning mentally the changes if needed'.
Morning came and my heart was filled with joy- a reward! The client (A Christian ministry) and the person representing it had tears welled up and expressed 'the project had exceeded his expectation and I was an answer to his prayer to do this'
A result despite showing distrust & disobedience in the confidence Jesus gives me. I wish-hope-pray that Simon's words "because you say so, I will...." be words etched forever in everything I do (read: you/we) What a great reminder of God's love lavished on us!
My Grammies hanging out! Such a blessing to have these grand young ladies around. Glad I could get them in one frame sitting together with us 4 in the middle ;) #strengthofawoman #inspiration #examples #grandmothers #blessing
Just soooo excited to see this. For a September born, this is November's notes. It's amazing nothing much has changed about me😉 "above normal" is hilarious! #mybabymoments #motherslove #2months #thankyougod #ancientgram

SQUARE ONE
All along I’ve received from the Lord according to His will; Often times, I’ve not responded to it with a lot of thrill.
Back to square one.
I’m running again at breakneck speed, Wanting things desperately. Daily unto the Lord, I plead, And wait expectantly.
Back to square one.
Once things look like they’re going good, Smoother and steadier like they never before could; Suddenly amidst all glad preparation, Dream-packed plans and my destination.
Back to square one.
Astounded and totally clueless I lie awake, Reading into and analyzing things as I feel the ache. My ways, my thoughts, and my plans All at His feet I had laid.
Back to square one.
Imagination and comprehension, are a bait that runs down one’s mental state. Not that I lack faith but, In anxiety and worry, I see things fade.
Back to square one.
Finally, in prayer & supplication, On the Lord, I have decided to wait. His Promises are real, His word is true, Just like He said; He will do.
Back to square one.
Stand tall and wait, Is all I need to do.
THIN LINE - GAIN or PAIN
Life in the fast lane-sunshine, cold or rain
is a rat race that is often so insane;
Competition and performance are words of the game
time, money and name go hand in hand for fame.
Mere hard work, diligence and pay
make for the world's toughest play;
Success and fame is a gain
but without people you love it's all in vain.
In a moment of solitude it will only inflict pain
All your accolades will in silence drain
LIFE FRAME
It’s not about money & fame,
looks or brain;
It’s all about a humble family frame,
not sans harships or pain.
It’s where sincerity is the order of the day,
where life’s anchor is prayer;
Oh to be careful about the things we do & say,
always pray!
With vacations, parties & fun all the way,
quiet times & prayer next to none on any day;
With people we will share, love & care
Jesus’ contagious love in every way.
With joy on our faces & happiness in our hearts,
we will forever bless God’s heart.
He had it together even before we were born.
Our life united with Jesus His son
is life’s entire battle won.
(MAD)ELLA Fitzgerald
It aches to see you so drowsy & low
for me it’s such a hard blow;
Bit by bit and slug slow,
is your footstep that puts a lump in my throat.
That joy that spark that gung-ho
you had,
made me laugh and drove me and mine, mad.
Now you snarl and snap and react,
scare me away with your bowwow act.
As you lay in pain
sit down as lame;
I recollect how you tic-tac-toe
us around the house follow;
Mama and me like ‘mary’, a shadow.
It breaks my heart to think,
what if I lose you tomorrow.
The thought itself is a hard pill to swallow.
I wish, with sunrise
no dark cloud will cast on us it’s shadow.
God willing, we’ll wake up to see many more tomorrows.
All I do is pray and pray and call out to God
To heal you and put that spark in you with His rod.
May His spirit touch you and heal you within,
to make you same as you had always been.
Put you back on your feet and sprightly in your being,
like none has ever heard or seen.
I know He who cares for the sparrow,
sure does care for you, my minion;
Let everyone look at you and ponder,
Of the touch of Him who is filled with wonder.
