Little wonder that as Spain emerged from the Franco era, she chose constitutional monarchy. When Iraq was a constitutional monarchy, albeit imperfect, the people of that country would not have believed the horrors that they would see perpetrated after the brutal massacre of the Royal Family and the declaration of a republic. Pope Francis had appointed Klaus Krämer new bishop of the diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart. The diocese is identical with the territory of the Kingdom of Württemberg. Though the diocese was founded by the protestant King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, today the Royal Family of Württemberg in Catholic. Since his grandfather’s death in 2022 His Royal Highness Duke Wilhelm of Württemberg (*13th August 1994 is head of the Royal House.

He was invited to attend the consecration of Bishop Krämer and he sat in the first row next to the Ministerpräsident of Baden Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann, and the speaker of the Baden-Württemberg Parliament, Muhterem Aras.

Am 29. Dezember ist Seine Königliche Hoheit Markgraf Max von Baden, Herzog von Zähringen, gestorben (geboren am 3. Juli 1933, Taufnamen Maximilian Andreas Friedrich Gustav Ernst-August Bernhard).

Sein Großvater war der letzte von Kaiser Wilhelm II. ernannte Reichskanzler, Prinz Max von Baden. Nach dem Verlust der Monarchie haben die de jure Großherzöge von Baden den alten Markgrafentitel wieder angenommen, der seit 1803, nach der Erhebung von Markgraf Karl Friedrich zum Kurfürsten (1806 zum Großherzog), in der Titulatur nach unten gerückt war. Markgraf Max war seit 1918 der dritte Titelträger. Sein ältester Sohn und Erbe ist seit dem 29. Dezember 2022 neuer Chef des Hauses Baden und damit Seine Königliche Hoheit Markgraf Bernhard von Baden, Herzog von Zähringen (* 27. Mai 1970, Taufnamen Bernhard Max Friedrich August Gustav Louis Kraft).

Prince Henri, Count of Paris, Duke of France (14th June 1933 – 21st January 2019) was the Pretender to the French throne and known to his supporters as King Henri VII.

He was head of the Orléans branch of the House of Bourbon, which still rules in Spain and Luxembourg. He was senior in male-line descent from King Louis Philippe, who reigned as King of the French from 1830 to 1848. Prince Henri was a retired military officer as well as an author and painter.

His successor is his second son, Prince Jean (IV), Duke of Vendôme. His eldest son, Prince François had predeceased him on 31st December 2017.

Prince Henri has passed away exactly 226 years after the execution of King Louis XVI.

His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, Duke of York has toured HMAS Stirling and Fleet Base East as part of his short visit to Western Australia.

The Prince, a Navy pilot and Falklands War veteran, was given a comprehensive tour of the base by Senior Officer Western Australia Commodore Brett Dowsing and Stirling Commanding Officer Captain Brian Delamont.

After the official welcome at the Stirling Command Building, the Prince was taken to Diamantina Wharf where he was given a tour of HMAS Sheean by the submarine’s Commanding Officer, Commander Richard Lindsay.

Duke Friedrich of Württemberg, 56, was killed in a crash on 9th May 2018. He was the heir to the Royal Family of Württemberg. Some 2,000 people attended his Catholic funeral in Altshausen,Württemberg, on 24th May. Among the mourners were King Philippe of Belgium and his wife Queen Mathilde of the Belgians, the head of the House of Wittelsbach, Duke Franz of Bavaria; the head of the grandducal House of Baden, Margrave Max of Baden (a nephew of the Duke of Edinburgh) and his son, Prince Bernhard of Baden; the head of the Portuguese Royal Family Dom Duarte, Duke of Bragança.

The heir of the Württemberg Royal Family, His Royal Highness Duke Friedrich of Württemberg has died in a car crash. The eldest son (*1st June 1961) of HRH Duke Carl of Württemberg (*1st August 1936) died on 9th May in a car accident near the family palace in Altshausen. New heir to become head of the royal house of Württemberg after his grandfather is his eldest son of the deceased, HRH Duke Wilhelm of Württemberg (*13th August 1994)

King Hussein bin Talal (1935-1999)

On 6th September 1951, King Abdullah’s eldest son, King Talal, assumed the throne. He was soon followed by his eldest son, Hussein, who was proclaimed King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on 11th August 111952.

A Regency Council was appointed until King Hussein’s formal accession to the throne on 2nd May 1953, when he assumed his constitutional powers after reaching the age of eighteen, according to the Islamic calendar.

On Her Majesty’s 92nd birthday: Congratulations from Down Under with stamps issued by Australia Post on Queen’s Birthday (with the exception of the postage stamp from Canada, too pretty to be missed in 2018)

Today, four days ahead of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's birthday Australia Post released the 2018 set of stamps. The Australian Queen's Birthday postage stamps mark the 92nd birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with two designs that feature a floral theme.

On the first official day of their tour through Northern Australia Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by thousands of enthusiastic Queenslanders. The Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Lady Cosgrove received Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla at Government House. Later in the evening The Prince of Wales read the Queen's message at the opening ceremony at Carrara Stadium.

It was Prince Charles' seventh visit to Queensland and the Duchess of Cornwall's second visit.

During the royal tour, Prince Charles will also watch the swimming at the Commonwealth Games and visit Bundaberg and Cairns.
