ang galing ng memory ng anak ko. december ko pa siya binigyan ng iPad, pero hanggang ngayon, every time nakikita niya yung box, sasabihin niya, “Surprise!” lol so cute! ganun ko kasi binigay yung ipad niya nung christmas kahit di pa niya alam yung ipad lol wala lang, sobrang na-amaze lang ako na kayang i-associate ng isang 24-month-old yung box with that memory. she was only 18 months old when i gave it to her.

grabe lang, ‘no? how much little minds absorb, even when we think they’re too young to remember. that’s why i believe it’s so important to protect our children’s mental and emotional well-being. the moments we create, the way we speak to them, and how we make them feel yung magiging core memories as they grow.

day 4 of weaning

each night is getting much easier. i love it! my back is loving it too! my baby still whines for a little bit before sleeping but thank goodness she doesn’t want to breastfeed anymore! i even show her my dede lol but she was just laughing hahahahahaha she fell asleep faster now compared to the first 3 nights. humiga lang siya, then nagsleep. pero syempre nagpakamot siya likod, arms, knees tapos makikiliti. sasabihin niya, “how about my knees?”, tapos kakamutin ko tatawa siya hahaha tapos sabi ko wag na siya pakamot kasi ganun din tumatawa siya di rin makasleep. pero after non, humikab siya, tulala onti, then sleep. amazingggg. ahhh nagiging big girl na talaga baby ko. next namin ayyy potty training!

i know it probably just wandered in, but i couldn’t help but wonder if it was a little reminder to slow down and trust God’s timing.

to me, it symbolizes patience, trusting divine timing, and learning to enjoy my own company. it felt like a reminder that healing and growth can happen quietly too. 🌱🫶🏻

day 3 of weaning

Still cryinggg, but this time it was more out of irritation than frustration. my baby kept climbing all over me because she didn’t know how to fall asleep even though she was obviously sooo sleepy.

tried scratching her back and even her arms because she kept asking for it… then she’d make me stop because apparently she’s ticklish.

since i only had a few hours of sleep the night before, i ended up falling asleep first. she just kept pacing back and forth on the bed for a while… then eventually knocked out too.

it’s actually funny how we’re both just figuring out this whole “how to sleep without breastfeeding” thing together. 🥺

day 2 of weaning

was such a tiring night… 🥲 i even gave in and offered my breast kasi grabe na talaga yung iyak niya, parang nanginig na buong bahay. 😭 but she didn’t want it anymore (yes!!!). so i did everything just to make her fall asleep. binuhat ko na siya, kinantahan ko na ng lullabies, buong nursery rhymes, pati let it go kinanta ko na rin with matching iba’t ibang boses. pinaka-effective pa rin talaga yung pagkamot ko sa likod niya.

i was actually worried baka may iba pala siyang nararamdaman kasi she kept waking up after falling asleep. she’s not hungry kasi she ate so much nung dinner plus cookies. hindi naman kabag or anything, so i honestly don’t know bakit ganun. but in the end… napuyat ang mama.

but the good part is… ayaw na niya talagang dumede muhahahahahaha 😈 pero huhu naaawa ako kasi she’s still figuring out how to fall asleep without breastfeeding.
