I hate the way people act like if book!Jon is Rhaegar and Lyanna’s kid, he’s automatically going to become the Targaryen poster boy. Like first of all, he would still be a Stark by blood, y’know, due to his mother being Lyanna STARK, and it’s pure misogyny at its finest to label him as solely a Targaryen because of his bum of a “father”. Never mind the fact that he was raised by Eddard Stark in Winterfell for his whole life, views all the Stark siblings as his own and views himself as a Stark. This wouldn’t change just because whoops actually Ned is his uncle. Rhaegar would be/is his glorified sperm donor, Eddard Stark would always be his father.

tim drake glazers are honestly the funniest stans bcs they’re like to only ones i’ve seen that get upset when you give credit to their “favourite” character. like you say tim is competent and can at least mostly hold his own against the other batfam members and they’ll start crying bcs tim isn’t “helpless” and a “victim” of other characters *cough cough jason todd cough*

one of my biggest problems is even when i don’t even like a character, i can’t stand when people shit on them for doing something they love or ignore in other characters. the most recent example i can think of is people being like “aegons so cruel for dragging sunfyre into a war he didn’t want to be in” and “aemond’s so cruel for making vhagar fight meleys” as if rhaenys didn’t get meleys cooked and rhaenyra isn’t building an army of dragons to fight the greens.

nothing will be funnier to me than people calling the show “team black/green propaganda” and the propaganda in question is giving characters on either side depth

also i feel like i should mention, i’m technically team black as i believe rhaeynra should sit on the throne, (actually nobody should sit on the throne but that’s a whole nother post) however team green holds much more interesting characters as a whole so a lot of my posts will be about them.

everyone’s like “ ha ha daeron’s kind because he wasn’t raised by alicent” but guess who else he wasn’t raised by? viserys. he wasn’t raised in an environment where he was a second thought always to his father. he didn’t see the abuse his mother and siblings faced from viserys. not absolving alicent of her questionable parenting but viserys f*cked up the green kids just as much if not more and daeron was spared of that.

i bring a “viserys was at least partially at fault for luke’s death as instead of comforting a now newly disabled aemond he berated his mother and brother over rumours ensuring the feeling of injustice in aemond and leaving an open wound which festered for the next like 6 years, eventually culminating in luke’s demise” vibe people don’t like.

probably lukewarm take but alicent sacrificing aegon is absolutely ass. one of alicent’s most redeeming features is her (attempted) protection of her children and to strip her of that is character assassination. i like rhaenicent as much as the next person but you cannot convince me that alicent choosing rhaenrya over her children is satisfying

the funniest thing to me about jean kirstein is he ranked like 6th in the training corps thing but look at the people he’s ranked below. an Ackerman, three titan shifters who’ve had previous military training and another titan shifter who yeah, didn’t know he was one but still benefited from aspects of it i.e the smoke above his head when he got injured, who is also the main character so y’know protagonist shenanigans might’ve been in play. initially he seems so average but when you take like 2 second to think about it he’s actually incredibly skilled.
