Odile has lived most of her life in parts of the US where oddities like her multiple sets of eyes is nothing uncommon; which means, she does not know how to respond when there is someone who IS visibly shocked/horrified/etc. when they see her for the first time. Her initial response is just to suck it up & move on with it; she might however use the other person’s fear against them if they have info she needs.
First Meeting / Icebreakers
“Hi, I’m ______.”
“Oh fuck! Are you okay?”
“Crap! Sorry about that! Wasn’t looking where I was going. Here, I’ll get you a new jacket…”
“Need a ride?”
“How are you?”
“Seems like we’re gonna be stuck on this train for an extra three hours.”
“What’s your name?”
“Thank you.”
“You just saved my life!”
“Move the fuck out of my way.”
“Watch where you’re going!”
“Asshole.”
“Would you like anything?”
“You’re gorgeous.”
“Do I know you?”
“Uh, that’s my spot.”
“Oh, God, sorry! Let me buy you a new one.”
“Is that your dog? He is so CUTE!”
“Here, take my seat. You look tired.”
“Checking in?”
“Can I sit here?”
“May I buy you a drink?”
“I can spot you, if you want.”
“How’d you even get stuck in a locker, anyway?”
“Can you turn it down?! Some of us are trying to sleep!”
“Hi, I’m your new roommate.”
“I think I found your dog. Is he yours?”
“You look cold, take my jacket.”
“Hey, I think the mailman gave me your mail by mistake? [Name], right?”
“You’ve had a guy/girl over every night this week! And you’re really loud! You know how I know? I know because I live below you!”
“So, your kid apparently punched my kid in the face.”
“Bride or groom?”
“Can you switch seats with me? I can’t see!”
“Okay, look, if you’re gonna be airsick, aim the other way.”
“[Sir/Ma'am], if you don’t stop being rude to me, I’m going to give you decaf.”
“Don’t drink that! I saw some guy slip something in there.”
“Hey, is he bothering you?”
“Don’t give up your day job.”
“…Dude, your fly’s down.”
“I think you have the wrong number.”
“I’m [muse’s child]’s teacher.”
“[Muse’s child/younger sibling] was in my yard again!”
“Get out of here! This is my hiding spot!”
“YOUR STUPID MUTT RIPPED UP MY YARD AGAIN!”
“SHUT UP. And learn to stay on key.”
“Good Evening/Afternoon/Morning/Day/Night.”
“Watch where you’re going!”
“Is this seat taken?”
“Here you dropped this.”
“You remind me of someone.”
“Will you be taking this?”
“May I take your order?”
“How are you?”
“You look familiar, have we met before?”
“Be careful next time.”
“Hey, could you help me?”
“Help me!”
“I’m so sorry!”
“Are you alright?!”
“I know we’ve never met, but I think you’re beautiful.”
“I think I may have seen you before…”
“Hey! Watch it!”
“Oh my god are you okay?”
“Have we met…?”
“Were you at that one party?”
“Remember me?”
“I know you don’t know me but I love your shirt.”
“Quick, pretend to look like you’re talking to me.”
“Hey, is that your dog?”
“Service takes forever here.”
“Don’t mean to sound cliche, but do you come here often?”
“I wouldn’t sit there if I were you.”
“This is gonna be a long plane ride.”
“Can you turn that music down?”
“People are trying to sleep!”
“I’m your new neighbour.”
“Is that who I think it is?”
“Be quiet!”
“Is that your son/daughter?”
“I’ve read about you.“
Deep Ass Sentence Starters
“When you think about people who have died, do you picture them anywhere?” “Sometimes it freaks me out that everyone around me has a life as complex and real as my own.” “Do you sometimes suddenly hear your own heartbeat and feel sick because… What if it suddenly stops or something?” “I sometimes just want something really bad to happen to me. Something that’s just really awful. I don’t know why… Do you get that too?” “I can’t stand the thought that I don’t know what’s going to happen to the world in hundreds of years.” “Does thinking about Primary School make you sad, or happy?” “Most pets we keep only become a fraction of our age. Do you think that if they’d know this, they’d call us gods?” “What are you more afraid of, space or the ocean?” “There’s no way anyone can tick everything off their bucket list. We all want too much. It’s frustrating.” “Do you think we’re in control of our lives, generally? Or do you think we just think we are?” “If you knew you were going to die next week, would you tell people or live the way you were till the end?” “I think most people remember the exact moment they realised they were grown up. Because of something said to them, or something they saw… Do you remember that moment?” “One of us is going to die first. Do you think we’ll still know each other to find out who?” “Do you think we’re all capable of murder when it comes down to it?” “I’m so afraid of the moment you know you’re going to die.” “Are there things people have said to you that have legitimately changed you?” “Why do people fear losing things that they don’t even have yet?” “How do I know you even have a consciousness? I can’t know.” “What do you think our purpose is?” “What if everything is just a coincidence? For instance: What if gravity doesn’t exist? Everything has just always coincidentally fallen to the ground.” “If nothing else, we at least won the sperm race.” “If you could send a message to the entire world, what would you say in 30 seconds?” “Do you think other people’s judgments motivate us or hold us back?” “If karma was coming back to you, would it help or hurt you?” “Right, we’ve probably had enough alcohol for the rest of the night. We’re getting way too philosophical.”

ODILE SPEARS, an orthopedic surgeon who escaped to Philadelphia after having been caught organ trafficking in order to pay her massive medical loans. she’s tall, she’s sassy, & she has no time to take shit from anyone. if she sounds like someone you’d be interested in interacting with, could you please like/reblog this post? thank you!
