Damn right Iâm reblogging. See previous post re wrath of whatever from high atop the thing.
when millennials were first heading into high school and college there was a huge trend in news stories about how stressed out our kids are, how their backs are getting messed up from carrying so many books, how theyâre sleeping less and doing more school work, and how we should do more to help our kids have the childhoods we had because our kids are falling apart from stress and being forced to be more productive than kids should be. but then once millennials started hitting the workforce all the news was about how millennials are lazy and narcissistic and entitled lmao you were real concerned about us until you found out a 23 year old is more qualified to do your job than you
Thatâs because at some point in the middle we stopped being âtheir childrenâ and became a bloc of terrifying outsiders with foreign values and little regard for what had been their established cultural norms.
Iâd forgotten this but youâre right. I think it started earlier though, it started when we started out performing them on exams. Then suddenly all our schoolwork was easy and we were being rewarded for just showing up.
I personally believe it started when it came time for the supposed pay off.
We worked hard in school. As teenagers, this was supposed to pay off in respect. Instead we were told that we did not deserve it because we were a generation âraised on participation trophiesâ.
As college kids it was supposed to pay off as superior education opportunities at lower personal cost. Except the exact opposite occurred as education cost soared. The excuse this time was because âwe were lazyâ because we couldnât put ourselves through school on a summer job like our parents did.
As adults entering the work force it was supposed to pay off with better and more fulfilling jobs. A fucking joke if I ever heard one, and the excuse this time just straight up said âmillennials are entitled! They think the world owes everything to them!â as if we had not been ground into the dirt our whole lives by adults vicariously living through the accomplishments of their children, pushed to the breaking point on the promise that we would someday reap the benefits that never came.

I want to reblog this to point out two things
1) this driver had the situational awareness to know what his passenger in the back seat was doing whileâŠ
2) maintaining excellent situational awareness of road conditions ahead.
this is what we mean when we say thereâs no unskilled labor, only devalued labor.

http://www.inglotcosmetics.com/nails/products/141
this retailer sells a halal nail polish. this allows for oxygen and water to go through the nail, which makes it acceptable to wear during prayer. spread the word.Â
âBeing a relatively modern creation, nail polish remains obviously unaddressed by early Islamic sources. But the general consensus in the Islamic community is that praying with nail polish is impermissible because of the waterproof barrier it creates on nails, which prevents the wudu ritual from being completed five times a day.â (source)
For any Muslim followers.
HEY
NO
DONâT ACTUALLY USE THIS FOR THE SAKE OF WATER PERMEABILITY. ITâS NOT VERY EFFECTIVE.
Itâs only water vapor permeable, and itâs not at all water permeable when you apply multiple coats, a top coat, or a base coat.
You should use the Tuesday In Love water-permeable brands instead! Theyâre completely water permeable and come in a whole ton of colors!
Hereâs a test that a sister did comparing the Inglot brand and the Tuesday In Love brand on a paper towel so you can see for yourself.
please please please spread this around, I would hate for a lot of sisters to have their prayers invalidated because of something like this.

Y'all do realize the more you call trans kids âtranstrendersâ and that theyâre âfaking itâ the more parents arenât gonna support even Actually Real Dysphoric Trans People, right?
i actually experienced this last summer.
my mom is friends with this trans woman, who was really sweet and she was super cool, but then i tried to come out after my mom expressed how much she liked her trans friend and how amazing she is. i told my mom about my crippling chest dysphoria and how much iâd love to be called by he/him pronouns and my preferred name. i told her about how iâve always felt this way and iâve known since eighth grade.
well the thing is, her friend is a transmed.
my mom is an uninformed person on trans issues, because she didnât really care about them until recently. she took resources from her transmed friend and it ruined my life. she went off about how iâm not really trans because i didnât come out sooner, i have piercings, my hair is always a crazy color, i still like girly things, and my glasses are weird. she kept yelling about how i didnât have dysphoria before, so i obviously have the wrong definition. she told me if i was trans it wouldâve been diagnosed by my therapist already, and it was just a cult bandwagon phase. i was locked away from the outside world for a month.
when my next year of high school rolled around, i was out as trans. my partner provided me with a binder and all was well. i came out to all my peers at the beginning and about halfway through the school year to my teachers. it was quiet, under the table. i told them my mom didnât know and under our school guidelines, they were not allowed to tell my mom that sort of thing. well, one of my teachers ended up being lgbtphobic and i didnât know, and announced to the class that she didnât âagree with the lifestyleâ and that âgay marriage isnât what god wanted.â my mom got an email that day about me being out as trans at school. i wonder who couldâve sent it?
my mom blew up. she was sending me treat after threat because i was a trender, all i did was lie for attention, that i chose to be trans because it was trendy and that real trans people wouldnât flaunt their transness. of course, she got these resources from her transmed friend. she pulled me out of public school and cut my contact with the outside world for three whole months. i didnât get back into school until february.
DO NOT TELL ME THAT PEOPLE WITH DIFFERING OPINIONS ISNT TRANSPHOBIC AND HARMFUL BECAUSE EVEN AS A DYSPHORIC TRANS PERSON, TRANSMEDICALISM HAS RUINED MY HOME, MY FAMILY, AND MY LIFE. I WILL NOT STAND FOR TRANSMEDS OR PEOPLE WHO ALLOW THEIR INTERACTION. THEY ARE EXTREMELY HARMFUL AND NEED TO BE STOPPED BEFORE MORE LIVES ARE RUINED.
I mean: we did this with bi kids and particularly bi girls, right. With people my age.
We got super gatekeepy and âyou must be THIS GAY to ride this identityâ and we complained at length about it being âtrendyâ and how girls only did it to be âcoolâ and to get attention.
And so among other things I know one person I love is, for example, only JUST getting to have her FIRST relationship ever with a woman at slightly older than me because this shit got into her head and she didnât think she was âallowedâ.
So watching people turn the same bullshit on even more vulnerable kids?
This is a problem. This is lateral violence. And it needs to fucking stop.
Let me be clear, even if Transtrending was a thing (I do not think that it is), I would still much rather hear a 15 year old tell me that they thought they were trans and then realized they werenât after a few months of playing with the idea, than hear about a 30 year old who finally transitioned after having a mental breakdown because they spent their life thinking they werenât trans enough and therefore werenât allowed to transition.
Fighting the Transtrender Boogeyman isnât protecting the integrity of trans rights, it just makes the struggle of atypical trans people harder.
THIS SHIT NEEDS TO STOP
Can cis people reblog?
Everyone reblog. This is important

Um no wtf. Some people have pre-existing conditions that make it difficult to breathe with a mask on. E.g. anxiety, asthma, COPD. Mind your own business.
Actually I have anxiety, claustrophobia, sensory issues, & severe asthma, yet I still wear at least one if not two masks in public.
âmind your own business,â it becomes my business if itâs possibly harmful to me or the people around me
Yes, some people have pre-existing conditions that can make wearing masks difficult, the solution is going out in public as little as possible or finding alternative face coverings. (Iâm sure thereâs more safe solutions out there that other people have figured out)
I have no solutions for an alternative face covering that would work for someone w/copd, but someone with copd probably wouldnât want to be in public rn b/c theyâre very high risk?!? (Please someone correct me if Iâm wrong on any of this I do not have copd)
Also asthmatics and other high risk people should wear masks to protect ourselves if we can? Having a few asthma attacks or panic attacks is so much better than me or someone else dying from covid19.
Stop using my conditions and disabilities as an excuse for pushing harmful ideology.
first of all, anxiety is NOT a condition that necessitates not wearing a face mask, even the slightest bit. if you think it is, youâre an idiot.
for people with actual breathing conditions (such as copd or severe asthma), or anyone else who doesnât want to wear a mask, face shields exist and are extremely cheap (you can get a 6-pack for 5 bucks):
the solution to âi canât wear a mask because i have a breathing conditionâ is not âi can go out without a facial covering and endanger the lives of othersâ. it is either find an alternative face covering like a face shield, or donât go out at all.
