She looked up, embarrassed that she said that out loud.

Well shit...

Her golden gaze met his crimson ones, her face flushed with a shy smile, "I must sound like a crazy person...I haven't encountered anyone else, well..."

She points to her doe ears as they twich, "Well, like me..."

" well, now you have, i suppose " he replied, gazing down at her. He found her quite amusing, almost like he could make a deal with her " soo " he dragged out, pointing his staff at her " how long have you been down here? "

She shrugged slightly, her ears flat on her skull, "A few months or so? I've lost track since my father casted me from heaven..."

Her words trailed off, looking off to the side as her fingers grazed the scar on her neck. Clearing her throat, she places a false smile on, "Anyhow, I've been getting by. I'm hoping though to apply at the Hazbin Hotel."

" well, sure you can! Charlie would be quite delighted with another person around " he announced, he started to ramble about the hotel but then paused " why were you casted out of heaven? If i may ask "

" hmm.. " he thought for a moment before replying " maybe a little garlic powder, onion powder and paprika " he picked up a knife and grazed it along his fingers as he spoke " you know, if you didn't need help you could've told me " he spoke, staring at the knife.

"Ofcourse I need your help, I wouldn't have added the others if you hadn't spoken" He said with a cheeky grin. Hands moving up to grab the three powders, carefully swirling them over the gradual growing pot. Soon in went tomatoes and other ingredients for jambalaya, and he finally added slices of venison sausage, offering Alastor a piece on the tip of his knife. "Here, try it~ Made this last summer~"

Alastor took the knife and stared at the meat before putting it into his mouth, chewing slowly " mmmhm.. " he mumbled, swallowing the venison he started to speak " it's quite divine if you ask me " he handed the knife, looking at the jambalaya swirling around in the pot

Another bright grin from Cain, giving the pot a good stir, before heading to set the table.

"I can slice you some raw if you'd like to go along with your food" He gestures for the other to come have a seat.

Alastor walked over and looked at the table " it's fine. i can manage without raw meat " he hummed and glanced at the other " besides, i feel like it'd ruin the meal "

Alastor took his coat off and placed it aside, rolling up his sleeves while eyeing the other " my, you're quite good with your hands. " he watched in awe, his ears twitching slightly. Something about watching others make healthy, old fashioned meals sparked something within him, he personally didn't like the junk-food crap people were making in todays age, which is probably why he seemed so amazed

"Well, I've been down here a while" He flipped a knife to show off lightly and grinned. "When you end up with six hands you learn how to work with all of them" A few more chops and the celery, onions and carrots went into the pot, as well as some garlic cloves, and a few chilies, looked like Habaneros and birds eye chilies. "Do you have any spice preferences? Must admit thanks to Able I'm prone to spicier"

" hmm.. " he thought for a moment before replying " maybe a little garlic powder, onion powder and paprika " he picked up a knife and grazed it along his fingers as he spoke " you know, if you didn't need help you could've told me " he spoke, staring at the knife.

" anyways, why don't you show me those cooking skills of yours, hm? " he suggested, staring at the other with his usual smile " I'm sure you know your way around a kitchen, I'd hope so anyway " he said playfully, his gaze never leaving the spiders as he spoke " we can talk while you're cooking if you'd like, i could even lend a hand "

Cain grinned, and led the other to the back,past the bar, waving at a white spider, clad in red, with red eyes... Able stared a bit as Cain led the radio demon back to the kitchen, buttttt went back to making drinks. That was not his business. The kitchen was cozy, a wood fire stove and all the necessities for cooking. Cain walked over to the sink and started to wash his hands "Ofcourse you can lend a hand~ Now what were you hungry for?"

" anything really " he commented, running his fingers along a few things " though I'd prefer venison or jambalaya " he proclaimed, looking a little fascinated with the way everything looked. Everything looked good on the eyes, and not like nowadays, it was more like a comforting place, a place that reminded him of his childhood " i must say " he continued, taking a step over to cain " this place is quite fascinating, and actually looks quite pleasing " alastor spoke with genuine interest, liking the atmosphere.

"Oh I know how to make Jambalaya but I can't promise authentic, I could make it with venison sausage if you'd like?" He knelt down to get out a big ol pot for the making. "Thanks~ Able likes to make stuff fit home really, this place is practically a carbon copy of the speakeasy we had when we were alive, but without the false front on top" Starting on the rice, cutting veggies... gathering spices. Third set of arms coming out, one set chopping, the other prepping and the other holding spices as he sniffed to see what would work. "We've really made it home I think, I'll pass your compliment to him~ This place is his baby"

Alastor looked at the door " so we are " he said as he stepped inside, looking around the place. "Quite an interesting setup going on " he spoke, running his hand along a few things before brushing it off against his coat - he was eyeing the place with a judgemental look " truly... inspiring "

The Moonlight was frozen in time, the counters gleamed of rich, dark polished wood, walls of lit bottles behind the bartop. The lighting coming from both candles on the tables and hundreds of small twinkling lights embedded in the midnight blue walls and ceiling.

There were blue velvet sofas in front of a roaring fireplace, cozy booths of black wood and blue fabrics.

" Thanks~ Its Able's pride and joy" Cain beamed.

The others glove would come back perfectly clean.

" anyways, why don't you show me those cooking skills of yours, hm? " he suggested, staring at the other with his usual smile " I'm sure you know your way around a kitchen, I'd hope so anyway " he said playfully, his gaze never leaving the spiders as he spoke " we can talk while you're cooking if you'd like, i could even lend a hand "

" that sounds like a better idea. " he said, taking looks at everyone " if i wait another hour for food I'm going to lose my mind " he looked at cain, clearly not knowing what to do with the whole hand holding thing, so he just stayed seated, feeling a tad bit awkward

Cain grinned and closed his hand around Alastor's, gently standing up "Alright then, let's go then~ If you want Venison I can still make it for you" He promised. Once standing, Cain gently let the other's hand go, and headed for the door. "Your turn to follow me~"

Alastor cletched onto his staff and walked out of the restaurant, unamused with the service in there " this isn't a long walk, is it? " he asked, not wanting to walk miles away just for food. Although, tasting cains cooking sure did spark an interest in him

"Nope, just down the road, we cut through the alley, and we're at the Moonlight, I'll take us into the back kitchen and cook you a proper meal right quick" Cain assured him it wouldn't be long with a gentle smile. 'It'll be alright, I wont starve you~"

" i wouldn't be starving either way, because you're plan B. " he spoke with a toothy grin as he looked at spider. He adjusted his coat and leaned onto his staff a little " go on then, lead the way "

Cain nodded and started off, moving at a nice enough pace so that they'd get there fairly quick, he knew hunger was not a kind host...Though he paused and laughed. "Oh ~! Haha, I'd probably be a bit tough and stringy eh?" He asked and glanced at him with a grin.

" oh, I'm sure if you were cooked right you'd taste divine " he started walking with his usual stance. He'd look up at cain and speak again, his tone playful " or you could be eaten raw " he added, glancing away. He fell silent and started thinking to himself, looking to the side as he did so

" I have heard that spiders taste similarly to crab" He offered " So maybe boiling~ If you are eating me raw, maybe sliced thin and marinated would be good" He tapped his chin in thought.

" Heh but no need to worry about that" He held the door open.

" We are here ~"

Alastor looked at the door " so we are " he said as he stepped inside, looking around the place. "Quite an interesting setup going on " he spoke, running his hand along a few things before brushing it off against his coat - he was eyeing the place with a judgemental look " truly... inspiring "

He was oddly enough flustered, which was extremely out of character for him " you'd be helping everyone, really. The hotel would be grateful if you joined, I'm sure. " he spoke, still avoiding any kind of eye contact. God, he hated looking vulnerable

"...." Cain glanced at the other's hand again, before moving to gently flip his, so that the deers much smaller hand was now resting in his neatly. "....Does touching make you uncomfortable?" Something about the other's body language made it seem like it might.. he was avoiding eye contact and was flustered slightly. 'It's alright if it does, my brother Isaac is the same way, says touching feels...mhmm"He had to pause to think of how he said it. "Too vulnerable..."

Cain didn't mind the touch, but if Alastor did, while it was sweet he was doing it possibly to assure Cain that things were okay, He'd rather the other feel comfortable .

Alastor glanced down at their hands and sighed, shifting himself in his chair " it does, but this is only.. light touching, merely above surface level, so.. " he took a deep breath and looked at cain " i guess i can allow it. " he said as he quickly broke eye contact, muttering about the restaurant being slow to himself

"... I dont think you should have to make yourself uncomfortable" He said softly and chuckled"... Hey... look this place is kinda slow" glancing around at the staff bustling to handle the crowds.

"... Must mean they are pretty busy~ Did you want to keep waiting?" Another head tilt. " I could always cook for us"
