Hey everyone! Introducing my Relic Candles, good old fashioned hand made mold making and casting. They're real candles, with a hand laid wick, and hand carved and colored numerals down the vertebrae.

These are poured wax into a silicone and epoxy mold that I built on my kitchen table. I was able to preserve detail of the castings by incorporating a matrix of channels to vent trapped air out as the wax is poured in. Feel free to ask questions!

Sometimes orthopedic implants really are coated in silver. The silver ions can prevent infection after the surgery.
