Independence will be glowing all night when RAGBRAI rolls into town - Indee RAGBRAI, glowing on the river!
Just released today - Okoboji's RAGBRAI theme and logo - can't wait to drop in and ride the chain!
RAGBRAI is coming to Rock Valley! Check out our theme and logo in this video release!
Appropriate, since it'll be our first time visiting Rock Valley as an overnight town. Can't wait!
#RAGBRAI has often been called a Mardi Gras on Wheels... so to all of our friends in New Orleans, laissez les bons temps rouler!

We'll kick off RAGBRAI XLII in Rock Valley, Iowa. You'll have lots to do as we gather for the ride, with their swimming pool, four parks and a sports complex, public library, golf course, and of course the RAGBRAI Expo. And with five schools and a dozen churches, there should be some excellent dinner options :) http://www.rockvalleychamber.com/site/
Many know our 2nd overnight town as home to the fictitious University of Okoboji. This is our 1st time visiting Okoboji overnight and there will be lots to do. It's located in the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes Region, and Pikes Point State Park is within city limits. http://okobojicity.com/
Our 3rd overnight town, Emmetsburg is known for its Irish heritage. The town's home to a piece of the Blarney Stone, a gift from the people of Dublin. http://www.emmetsburg.com/
Our 4th overnight town is beautiful Forest City! According to their website, the average July temp is 83.3 degrees... let's hope it holds true this year! http://www.forestcityia.com/
The fifth overnight town on our route, Mason City, is home to two Frank Lloyd Wright buildings: Historic Park Inn Hotel and the Stockman House! http://www.masoncity.net/
The 6th overnight town on this year's route, Waverly! Waverly is home to Wartburg College, and was named the 17th fastest growing city in Iowa. http://www.waverlyia.com/
Our 7th overnight town, Independence! Located on the banks of the Wapsipinicon River, Independence was home to some of the first settlers west of the Mississippi River. http://www.independenceia.com/
Researching overnight towns today. Our 8th and final stop, Guttenberg, IA! This historic town with German roots is an Iowa Great Place. http://www.cityofguttenberg.com/
Happy Birthday MacGyver! Did you know that Richard Dean Anderson biked 5,641 miles from Minnesota to Alaska when he was a teenager?
Just a short video for your Tuesday afternoon :)
