This is ridiculous. RuPaul is a proud black man who raised himself up from meager surroundings and was able to make himself into something. Now, because he speaks well, makes fun of stereotypes (LIKE EVERY OTHER DRAG QUEEN) and holds other to find their mantle he has to be a white man in black face? This is insulting.

I have no idea if he has ever apologized for that or anything but wow…. I liked his drag race show but never picked up on what she is mentioning (not saying it isn’t there). I think for people they don’t know what it is and how prevalent it is. Even if they do know about it consciously/subconsciously, it’s not something they are bothered by or suffer from. People refuse all day long to hear that their number one is a really poor role model or is making terrible choices that are hard to come back from. Then I guess there are some who see it, know about it, but only like his music or just the fact that there is some form of media outlet/visibility for the drag scene.

Once you learn about it, it starts popping up little by little and before you know it, it’s everywhere and it makes you sick.

I think you just described the process of becoming woke. It’s very hard to enjoy anything because you’re hyper aware of things.
