Today’s Lesson: Circle Casting
now, the first magick rule anybody should know is how to cast a circle before attempting any spell/spiritual work, and when you’re finished, depending on your belief, either closing or opening that circle again. so I thought I’d share with you how I like to do this! I choose to cast (close) before I open my circle, because I believe this is the most effective way of keeping only beings of pure love and light within my circle.

start by marking your circle. You can do this with chalk, water, objects, or by tracing it with your athame (or hand if need be.)
walk around (or circle your arm, depending on the circle’s size) thrice, and speak:
“ thrice I cast this circle round, sacred is this holy ground. “
from here, you can follow up with any elemental calling/welcoming that fits with your personal belief, and then jump into your spellwork!
when you’re finished up, and have released your corners again, open your circle back up by walking back around your circle in reverse, speaking:
” sacred is this holy ground, reopen the circle bound. “ OR (if you want to open, and then close your circle) ” sacred is this holy ground, now I close this circle bound. ~
