I dislike seeing non-Native people wearing head dresses, because in my experience, they do it because they “wanna get in touch with their roots,” (their fucking ancestors centuries down the line were Natives, maybe,) they “wanna become Native” (literally, people say this shit,) it’ll “make them spiritual and that’s so beautiful,” (I can’t make this shit up, folks,) or they just think it “looks so ‘boho chic’ or 'so red skin’,” (again, I cannot make this up.)

I’ve heard these things multiple times. Like, no, this is not okay. If you REALLY need to wear a head dress (you don’t,) then stop associating it with being Native when you’re not.

Oh wait, you can’t wear a head dress and disassociate it with being Native, because you’re then a bigger asshole than before.

tl;dr, you probably shouldn’t wear a head dress if you’re not Native. Yes, this one Native OP thinks it’s okay, I guess, but it’s still not.
