Unanswered questions about A Week Away: The Series
completely love this series but after finishing, i have a lot of questions 🥺
what exactly IS Sunshine? max indicates having a foster dad and foster siblings, so it's implied to be a foster home, but I haven't heard of a foster home with one foster parent and like 10-20 kids. I'd think Sunshine would be more like an orphanage--but still, it's always referred to as foster care, so... which is it?
how does the camp get saved at the end? The entire time, Karla is looking for things she can use to "present to the board" in order to save camp, but when there's nothing she can use, she still says at the end that she'll be David's partner next year. like, what happened so that she doesn't need to go to the board anymore?
what exactly happened for Max to no longer believe Lennie was part of Project Max? he had just seen tangible evidence of Karla outright saying Lennie was a part of it, and he clearly didn't believe Lennie when she swore she wasn't lying--so how come, on the last day, his tune has changed and he no longer thought she was involved?
what exactly DID that "sick, twisted kid" do to Max? what did Jeremy's uncle do to him? Who gave Lennie a black eye? Is that why her mom's in jail? and if so--how come the thing Lennie is struggling to forgive her mom for isn't the abuse but is instead the "not calling on her birthday" thing?
