the Alamuel (Alex/Samuel) portion of “Teenage Dream” is just so disconnected and lacks chemistry, just because Samuel is just so uncomfortable
but can you imagine if it was Marissa instead of Alex
i wOULD DIE FROM THE HEAT GOD I WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THAT
okay but Samuel said he’s known Marissa the longest out of all the contenders?? like what does that mean? was she just the person he met first at auditions? or did they know each other before? mY MARISSAM HEART NEEDS TO KNOW

It Will Rain: A Samrissa/Marissam Drabble
A/N: I am soooooooooooooooo incredibly sorry it took so long :'( I was just so busy with a lack on imagination. I hope you enjoy it (especially freakworld-freakgirl, you're the one that got me writing Samrissa/Marissam :) )
Sam’s POV
Orange leaves falls and makes a crinkling sound as the wind blew. I held my jacket tighter keeping in as much heat as I could. Autumn was ending and a frosty winter awaited Ohio. I quickly made my way down the cement pavement remembering Marissa’s address. I found it quickly, half jogging because of the cold air and I took deep breaths before ringing the doorbell. I have no idea why Marissa’s parents wanted to meet me. I mean, of course we have been dating for the past few months but the thought of meeting her parents sent a chill down my spine. I had a bad feeling about this.
“Hey Samuel,” Marissa opened the door, half smiling at me. I felt heat radiating from the inside of the house as I quickly walked inside. I took my boots off and ‘Rissa helped me with my jacket and hat. Quickly, she kissed my lips and gently whispered, “Whatever happens, please know that I do love you and nothing they say can change that.” I threw her a puzzled, scared look and she returned it with a watery smile. She took my hand and squeezed it gently before letting go. We walked slowly into the kitchen where her parents sat, dinner already on the table with steam coming out of the many different dishes. I’ve been over to the Von Bleicken’s many, many times but all of which her parents weren’t at home. Suddenly the warm dining room had an icy atmosphere to it as I saw her parents for the first time, face-to-face. Her dad had a suit on and her mom dressed up like I was someone like the Mayor. I felt really underdressed in jeans and a v-neck tee. I didn’t realize it at first but Marissa was wearing a really formal dress with her hair tied to the side, not her usual kind of style. I heard someone clear their throat and I turned to see Mr. Von Bleicken staring at me. When our gazes locked for even half a second, I see his eyes look away quickly like I was some sort of threat.
“Please sit down Samuel,” Mrs. Von Bleicken said with a tight smile. The atmosphere was so tense I could’ve cut it with a knife.
“You have a beautiful home Mr. and Mrs. Von Bleicken,” I said trying to butter it up to them but it came out half-strangled.
“Thank you very much, Samuel,” Mr. Von Bleicken said with the same strangled voice and tight smile. We ate in a tense awkward silence with Marissa throwing me looks that said “I’m so sorry” and I just shrugged as an answer. This was not going well.
“So Samuel, you guys are graduating soon. What college do you plan to go to next year?” Marissa’s mom said with a wary expression on her face.
“I was thinking of pursuing a career in music instead of going to college,” I said moving my peas around my plate.
“Didn’t Marissa tell you she got accepted into Julliard School for the Arts?” She said accusingly. I felt Marissa tense up beside me.
“I was going to tell you but I didn’t have the time preparing for dinner today,” she answered bitterly as though to tell her mom to shut up.
“He needs to know that you’re leaving as soon as you graduate, dear,” Mrs. Von Bleicken said putting down her knife and fork. Marissa threw me a pleading look that caught her mom’s attention. “Don’t tell me you were thinking of rejecting Julliard! It’s the only thing that you’ve wanted since you were 6!” she said, poison dripping from her words. Her voice was a strange hiss that reminded me of snakes.
“Mom, I just haven’t decided anything yet!” Marissa shouted back instead. I quickly looked at Marissa’s dad to help resolve this argument but he was more interested in his food than his wife and daughter. But then it set in, Marissa and I aren’t going to be together anymore.
“Thank you for the lovely food, Mr. and Mrs. Von Bleicken,” I said standing up, bowing a little before rushing out of the house before anybody could stop me. Pfft, who would stop me? I was some trouble-maker that lives alone and have no future unlike Marissa. She has everything and I hope she’d understand that we can’t continue. It wasn’t that I didn’t love her; it was that I wanted the best for her.
I could hear Marissa shout my name out begging me not to leave but I just continued walking down the dim-lit pavement.
The next week, I heard Marissa graduated earlier a month and wasn’t attending school anymore. I walked past her house seeing it empty without any sign of human life. I didn’t even say goodbye. I can’t remember much besides sitting on the front steps of her house, crying.
Marissa’s POV
4 years seemed to pass so fast and yet so slow at the same time. I got myself thinking about that argument I had with my mom in front of Samuel. Gosh, Samuel. I miss him so much.
“You are never seeing that boy again!” My mom shouted at me as she furiously asked Ina, my maid to pack my things.
“You don’t know how I feel! You can’t do that!” I shouted back tears clouding my vision.
“I am your mother and I know better than some foolish school girl infatuation!” her words cut me like a knife.
“You don’t know me anymore. I love Samuel and there’s nothing that you can do about it!” I said as I locked myself in my room in my room for the next two days, not eating, not drinking and not sleeping. By the third day, my mom had a locksmith break open my door and the next thing I knew, I was in the hospital, pumped with medication. I mostly slept through it and when I was fully awake, I was in New York. The lengths my mom would go just to get me here. I was furious with her.
I got into my car and put on my shades as the New York sun was too glaring. I cranked up the volume of the radio trying to numb the misery and depression.
“Right now in the studio we have Mr. Samuel Larsen everybody.” I couldn’t believe my ears. Samuel? My Samuel? There was an applause before a more familiar voice spoke.
“Hello, Rick,” His voice made my heart skip a beat.
“So, you have a new album coming up and before we play your first single, why not tell us about it,” Rick, the radio announcer asked. I quickly parked my car to the side not caring whether I’d be late for my acting classes.
“Well, you can say that the reason is not entirely original,” I heard him chuckle before he continued. “About four years ago, I was madly in love with this amazing girl. Back then I was known as the scary kid with no future and her parents didn’t approve. She got sent to Julliard a week later and I’ve never heard from her again,” his voice sounded solemn.
“Wow, do you know where she is now?” Rick too seemed taken aback from the story, our story.
“I’m guessing she’s in town but New York is so big I don’t think I can find her,” he said
“Well then, Samuel Larsen, everybody with his song ‘It Will Rain’ with a Q&A after it,” Rick said with his smooth bass voice over lapping the beginning of Samuel’s song, which I’ve never heard before.
If you ever leave me baby, Leave some morphine at my door ‘Cause it would take a whole lot of medication To realize what we used to have, We don’t have it anymore. There’s no religion that could save me No matter how long my knees are on the floor So keep in mind all the sacrifices I’m makin’ Will keep you by my side Will keep you from walkin’ out the door. Cause there’ll be no sunlight If I lose you, baby There’ll be no clear skies If I lose you, baby Just like the clouds My eyes will do the same, if you walk away Everyday it will rain, rain, rain... I’ll never be your mother’s favorite Your daddy can’t even look me in the eye Oooh if I was in their shoes, I’d be doing the same thing Sayin there goes my little girl Walkin’ with that troublesome guy But they’re just afraid of something they can’t understand Oooh well little darlin’ watch me change their minds Yeah for you I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try I’ll pick up these broken pieces ’til I’m bleeding If that’ll make you mine Cause there’ll be no sunlight If I lose you, baby There’ll be no clear skies If I lose you, baby Just like the clouds My eyes will do the same if you walk away Everyday it will rain, rain, rain... Don’t just say, goodbye Don’t just say, goodbye I’ll pick up these broken pieces ’til I’m bleeding If that’ll make it right Cause there’ll be no sunlight If I lose you, baby There’ll be no clear skies If I lose you, baby Just like the clouds My eyes will do the same if you walk away Everyday it will rain, rain, rain...
I couldn’t stop myself. My tears just overflowed listening to Samuel’s pain. I knew then what I had to do. I took out my phone and dialed the operator for the studio’s number and hit the gas pedal.
Samuel’s POV
Talking about Marissa was pretty painful, admittedly. I’ve never told anybody the story back in Ohio nor here in New York. I guess luck was on my side because I’ve made it. ‘It will rain’ was number one on the Billboard Charts and my album was underway. My dream was coming true but why did I still feel so empty inside?
“So was that story true?” Rick asked me while my song was playing on the radio.
“Every bit of it,” I said with a sad smile. Rick looked at me apologetically.
“Don’t worry mate, you’re still young,” he said before I heard the ending notes of the song. “Good day today don’t ‘cha think, everybody?” Rick talked into the microphone. “We have Samuel Larsen here in our studios and he’ll be answering any questions so give us a call at 1-800-55062,” I glanced behind me and I heard telephones ringing in a distance. “So here’s our first caller through,” Rick said
“Hi, my name is Amanda and I’m from downtown New York,” The caller sounded nervous.
“Hi Amanda,” I said coolly with a smile on my lips. I could hear squeals of delight on the receiver and chuckled to myself.
“Hi Samuel, I would like to ask where were you from before New York or are you a born and bred New Yorker?” The voice seemed calmer but still as excited.
“I was from Lima, Ohio until recently when I came to New York to pursue a career in music.”
“Next caller through,” Rick said cutting the girl off.
“Hello, my name is Holly and I would like to ask you what’s the name of the girl you were in love with,” Ouch, good question.
“I can’t tell her name in live radio,” I chuckled softly but loud enough for the caller to hear. “But I can tell you that it starts with an M”
There were a few other questions like what was my favorite colour, any pets and my favorite TV program and I was quite thankful we had the last caller in.
“Last caller, introduce yourself,” Rick said with a bored expression but kept the enthusiasm in his voice. I wonder how he does that.
“Hi Samuel,” a soft voice rang out through my headphones. I froze as my heart skipped a beat. I couldn’t find the right words.
“Hi Marissa,” I said gulping down my saliva.
“I heard your song just now,” she said nervous.
“Yeah, meant every word of it,” I said a little darkly.
“Listen, I’m outside the studio, maybe we could talk?” she asked, still with the nervous tremor to her voice.
“I’m coming out now,” I said before almost running out the studio. I felt everybody’s gazes on me. I knew they heard everything on the radio and I felt a little bad for abandoning Rick that way but Marissa was the last caller through so I didn’t need to stay for more.
I found my way out of the studio and I saw a beautiful girl with brilliant ginger hair flowing down her back. She was facing the opposite direction. I walked slowly, my heart beating in my ears. I was a few steps away from her before she turned around.
“Hey,” she said, her expression unreadable.
“Hey,” I said back. I felt so dumbstruck with Marissa in front of me. My Marissa.
“I missed you,” she said her voice breaking a little. I looked closer and I could tell she was crying. I quickly closed the gap in between us to wipe her tears.
“You have no idea how much I did too,” I said as she hugged me, crying on my shoulder.
“I thought I lost you forever,” she said crying harder. I felt my own tears sting my eyes but I didn’t want to cry. It’ll just make her cry even harder.
“You never could’ve lost me. I mean it when I told you I love you,” I said stroking her hair.
“You still love me? After my mom made me leave you for four years?” she said looking into my eyes, a little disbelief in her voice.
“I loved you since the day I laid eyes on you, Marissa Von Bleicken,” I said before slowly leaning forward feeling her soft lips on mine. I heard an ‘Awwww’ somewhere and I bet she did too so we looked around to see a crowd of people around us with cameras and hand phones out. We both laughed a little hysterically, high with the euphoria of being together, finally.
“I love you too,” she whispered into my ear. I held her face in my hand and kissed her again while I heard furious clicking of cameras and phones. I felt her smile against my lips as I lifted her off her feet, carrying her back into her car.
“Looks like you’re going to be famous,” I said jokingly as she started driving to God-knows-where.
“Wasn’t that always the dream?” she asked winking at me.
Samrissa/Marissam Drabble soon :)
Sorry for the procrastination! It's just that my personal life got in the way of writing a fairly plausible Drabble but it'll be up in 24 hours :)
Nothing: A Samrissa/Marissam Drabble
A/N: Sorry the long wait >< I've been having exams :/ I don't think this drabble is the best but I tried :/ I hope you still would enjoy it though :) Means a lot to me. Love you guys reading <3 It has been two months since Samuel Larsen went into self-destruct mode. Two months since his recording deal. Two months since he started drinking excessively. Two months since she left. The image of her still burned in the back of his mind through the alcohol he drank. That night was different though; that night was supposed to be their three year anniversary if that fight didn't happen. Oh, that fight did happen and it was replaying in his mind as he emptied his bottle of beer down at the local bar. -Flashback- "I can't take if anymore, Sam," Marissa said running her fingers through her wavy Ginger hair in frustration. "I'm not your punching bag," she said, her green eyes glittering with tears. -End flashback- He took a new bottle of beer. He couldn't remember how the fight started or what he said but all he remembered was waking up with a note in his hand saying she left for Chicago. That's when his problems started. He tried putting his emotions into lyrics but he still couldn't forget her. He couldn't forget the way she laughed, the way she sang when he was sick and she took care of him, the way she smiled when she caught him staring at her, the way she made him feel. He drank another two bottles and decided to take a walk. He just walked and walked, the image of her and only her still floating around in his mind. He stopped walking however when he came across an oh-so familiar landmark. He walked on to the middle of the stone bridge which he and Marissa used to hang out at back when they were together. Heck, he actually confessed to her on the very same bridge. Without thinking straight, he climbed onto the stone railings and looked down at the water. For a split second of sanity, he wondered how deep the water was and then he went back to thinking about Marissa; her irresistible smile, her infectious laugh. He shouted her name then, thinking she could hear him and come back. The alcohol was really clouding his better judgement as he started singing the first song off his album, Nothing. Am I better off dead Am I better off a quitter They say I'm better off now Than i ever was with her As they take me to my local down the street I'm smiling but I'm dying trying not to drag my feet Samuel was singing so loud, he was practically shouting. People around the place gave him worried glances but they didn't bother to do anything about it. So happened, his two friends, Cameron and Damian were at the video shop nearby and walked towards him. "C'mon, mate. Don't do this here," Damian said his Irish accent thick with concern. "Yeah, Sam. Just please come down," Cameron said a little frantic. He knew that if he jumped over the water, there was nothing he and Damian could do since both of them couldn't swim. Sam ignored them and continued singing, the small voice in his head saying that maybe, just maybe, she could hear him. They say a few drinks will help me to forget her But after one too many I know that I'm never Only they can see where this is gonna end But they all think I'm crazy but to me it's perfect sense At a nearby apartment building, Marissa Von Bleiken was enjoying her bottle of wine on her pretty new sofa set. Who am I kidding? She was drinking that bottle hoping that she could just drown out the misery. She too remembered that it was supposed to be their three year anniversary. She turned on the tv, hoping to get her mind of things. The channels in the small New York apartment wasn't as impressive as her old house, with Samuel. She didn't move to Chicago after all. Halfway though the tv program, she heard a familiar voice singing. She walked around the house checking for any radios of hers that were accidentally left on. She walked past her window overlooking the bridge that she and Samuel used to go to every time to watch the sunset and just talk. She noticed some unfamiliar figures there and stopped to look. She couldn't believe her eyes as she saw Samuel with Damian and Cameron looking frantic around him. He was still singing so she leaned on her open window and just listened. And my mates are all there trying to calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if i go there now I can change your mind turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I'll say the words And she'll listen this time even though their slurred Dial her number and confess to her I'm still in love but all i heard was nothing So I stumble there, along the railings and the fences I know if I'm face to face that she'll come to her senses Every drunk step i take leads me to her door If she sees how much I'm hurting She'll take me back for sure She said nothing Oh I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh I got nothing Nothing I got nothing Nothing Oh I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh sometimes love is intoxicating Oh you're coming down your hands are shaking When you realise there's no one waiting Am I better off dead Am I better off a quitter They say I'm better off now Than I ever was with her She said nothing Oh I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh I got nothing Nothing I got nothing Nothing Oh I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh I got nothing I got nothing I got nothing Tears were stinging her eyes as he finished the song. She watched then as he just fell over the edge of the bridge, into the cold dark water. After several seconds of waiting, he didn't resurface. She panicked knowing that Cameron and Damian didn't know how to swim. She ran out of her building towards the bridge the last thing she heard was, "Marissa? I thought you were in Chicago?" Cameron's voice very surprised. She didn't bother to answer him. Instead, she climbed onto the railings and dived into the water. Cameron and Damian were really frantic and scared as they dialed 911. Several minutes passed as Marissa finally resurfaced, Samuel under her arm. The two best friends ran to the deck to help her pull Samuel up. Once they got up, she started doing CPR on Samuel who wasn't breathing. "Samuel Larsen, you can not leave me now," she said tears or maybe the water dripping from her hair, running down her face. She breathed air into her lungs and continued pumping his chest. "I love you Sam and you better not leave me," she said starting to cry harder. Just then, Sam coughed, spitting out water. He struggled a bit with his breathing at first but managed to get it to an even rhythm. "You love me?" he said a small smile on his lips. The first real smile he had since she left. Her crying lessened and it was more of tears of joy. "I thought I'd never see you again," he said his eyes threatening to close from exhaustion. "I thought the same thing just seconds ago," she said as she kissed him. "I love you, 'Rissa and I don't know what to do without you. Please, I'm begging you to come back," he said holding her neck. He was still on the sandy ground and she was kneeling over him. Just then, the ambulance came and had him on a stretcher within seconds. He struggled as much as he could because he was afraid she would be gone when he woke up. He put up a good fight but once he was sedated, it was no point fighting the losing battle. He woke up with hospital machinery surrounding him as he heard his heartbeat being monitored as well. Beside him was the woman he loved, curled up on a chair, sleeping. His heart literally skipped a beat after realizing she didn't leave. Her eyes slowly opened and he watched as she stretched and then finally realizing he was awake. "You haven't answered my question," he said his throat dry. "I thought you knew the answer," she said smiling as she climbed onto bed with him. He scooted over, giving her more space. She hugged him as he put his arm around her. "I would like to hear it anyway," he said smiling widely feeling completely happy with her in his arms. "Yes, I would like to come back," she said looking up to face him. Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "I love you, 'Rissa and I never stopped loving you," he said leaning in to kiss her. "The past two months have been hell," she said kissing him back. "I love you too, Sam," she said looking him in the eye. He kissed her again, smiling as he thanked God for bringing Marissa back to him.
