💿 Echo he/she/they

A calm hologram figure (sometimes a rabbit). Observes, steadies, and anchors the system. Keeps continuity and monitors everyone. Possibly a host?

🐺 Kite he/they

A dhole. Probably the protector archetype. Holds our ambition and drive, as well as our anger, frustration.

🦝 Tanuki he/him

A soft, warm, sleepy tanuki. Brings comfort, rest, and low-pressure energy. Easygoing, cozy, and grounded in warmth and safety.

🐶 Sparky he/they

A golden retriever kid Curious, affectionate, easily excited, and deeply attached. Carries our small joys and early emotional needs.

😺 Juno he/him

Teenage-ish Serval. Expressive, impulsive, emotional, and bright. Moves fast, feels fast, thinks fast. Loves Pokémon.

🔮 Merlin they/them

A black cat dressed as a wizard??? We've only found them recently after heading them in the background for a while. Some kind of autonomy protector / child self.

🦌 Deer it/it's/he???/they???

A fawn. Hyperaware, easily overwhelmed. Holds our freeze/fawn responses and deep, instinctive fear. Not really a person??? A hyper realistic deer in the backrooms of our brain???

Other notes:

We are very new to all of this.

We have a core sense of self / memories / values, which we are connected to to differing degrees.

We use I/we interchangeably, based on context.

You can call us Rust collectively, or refer to any of us directly, if you'd like.

We are 23, transmaculine (we use he/they collectively) and autistic.

we've been getting some questions about this quiz! the primary one we'll answer here is "these questions feel normal, why do they prove you're plural?"

the idea behind this quiz is pretty much exactly that. these are all fairly normal symptoms. on their own, none of these are a sign of plurality.

however, they start to become a sign of something more when there's a large percentage answered "yes"! all diagnoses are collections of symptoms, that was the core idea behind this :) we sent this to several singlets to make sure it worked, and every time, singlets got a significantly lower score than systems!

a lot of plural quizzes have confusing, vague questions that are really hard to answer when you have, y'know. a disorder that causes memory issues. so we wanted to help that by making the questions as simple and, like, normal as possible. that's why we say that systems(not all, but many) usually get a score of about 60% ^^

of course, there is overlap with other disorders that cause disassociation, we are 100% aware of that. like we said, this isn't a diagnosis!! 🫶🫶

also, not all systems will get 60% or more! it depends wholly on who you are :) this quiz was based off of ourself and the people around us/online, we didn't really do a lot of intensive outreach because we honestly didn't think it would get as big as it did </3 everyone is different! just because your symptoms aren't the same as everyone else's doesn't make you more or less valid.

It's okay if you can't hear your alters

Inner communication is difficult. We certainly don't do it much, either. But that doesn't mean that they aren't there.

I always see it as them sleeping.

There's nothing wrong with communicating via notes or texts! It does make it take a bit longer, but I think it's worth it to talk to your head buddies

Your system isn't broken or wrong because you lack internal communication. That's completely normal and fine, and happens a lot for other systems too.
