It just hit me after rewatching Wandavision. This moment of Agatha's tear, after "What is grief if not love presevering" was 100% real. In fact, everything about Agatha's obsessive focus on Wanda's power was special and personal. Wanda lost Vision, and somehow brought him back to life. Of course, she'd want that power for herself. It's Agatha. But I believe it's possible she had a second reason for pursuing this path, and that's so she could be with Nicholas again.

Agatha All Along showed us that she's more like Wanda than any of us initially thought. She understands grief; she just doesn't want to feel it.
