the glossy-mantled manucode is a member of the bird-of-paradise family. they are found in new guinea, along with surrounding islands. they are known for their iridescent feathers, which are purple and blue under light. they primarily feed on fruits, in particular figs, and arthropods. unlike many birds of paradise, the sexes are very similar; the colorful glossy plumage the species is known for is found in both males and females (females are slightly smaller than males). they aren’t particularly social birds; they are rarely found in small groups, but more frequently found solo or in pairs.

I'm still aliiive! I just haven't bothered to log in and post and reblog. But then tumbler sent me this email message months ago saying i'd lose my tumblr names on my tumblr if I don't log-in? no waaay. *logsin* still there 0.0 Still doing watercolors, still sketching. I've been playing Genshin Impact, Ragnarok Online, watching youtubes, lurking in discords. Is anyone still alive? The sketch on the left is a fanart from a game called Montaro. This little shiba's a very naughty doggo. The illustration on the right is a style practice/study of an artist on twitter named umi. She normally uses acrylics, or I think it is. I used watercolors.
