2026 has been rough so far, unemployment, fighting a losing battle with depression and burnout and barely keeping my head above water... Revisiting the nostalgia of Neopets was something of a balm.

I've posted yet another Neopets fanfic on AO3. This one is mildly AU in that it diverges from canon on a few points, but not enough to drastically alter the overall plot of The Void Within. It's sort of a "missing scene" fic that addresses a few things that bugged me early on in TVW.
