Well i disagree that shipping is wrong. We have two different opinions. Because shipping being wrong is an opinion. And it is in no way anywhere close to supporting it in reality. And im not the right person to ask about why its appealing, im not much of a shipper.

Its not contradictory. In real life an actual child is being harmed. That is what makes it wrong. In fiction the child isn’t being harmed because the child doesn’t exist. Just because its weird and gross to you doesn’t mean its wrong or that everyone has to subscribe to your version of morality.
