sure! i don't have very many (very few of these fics are up to my standards of writing) but i can give the few i have!

Switchblade- PLEASE READ THIS. OH MY GOD. its a canon rewrite but its so fucking GOOD. i usually dont even bother reading canon rewrites because theyre so borning but Cacid took this entire concept and RAN WITH IT! there is SO much worldbuilding regarding the MLA, the underground heroes, and so many other things. izuku is entirely quirkless in this fic as well. theres also a early on bakugou redemption, shouji and ojirou friendship, and so many cool things!!! izuku trains to be an underground hero as well. its SO good. even if you think you wouldnt like this type of fic just read a little bit and see if you like it- its so good and i'm not doing it justice

Even When the Dark Comes Crashing Through- deku goes undercover as a quirkless highschooler. canon divergence

a wound that never heals (always leaves a scar)- izuku and the Gang(tm) have to research quirkless discrimination for a group project, and izuku is having a Hard Time. has the subplot of bakugou realizing he fucked up

And Now I See Daylight- a social media fic following HeroCon and how Deku speaks about quirkless discrimination

every memory is a drop in the ocean- izuku loses his memory and doesn't know why hes a student at UA

see it all in bloom- not TECHNICALLy what ur looking for but it does include some fics where quirk discrimination is talked about more often! plus @ captainkirkk wrote it, you know its fantastic

those hardest to love need it most- aizawa visits aldrea middle and learns some disturbing truths

the victim somewhere inbetween- in a somewhat ironic twist of events, aizawa overhears midoriya talking shit about quirkless folks

i was in spain once and there was a building with a tile that had been laid down in roman times: it had a dog’s paw print. and the thing was that after the dog did that print, the wet tile was dried, and then fired, and then shipped, and then laid, and for two thousand years every person who encountered that tile thought ‘aw! paw print!’ and kept it. this vast agreement by thousands of people over all these centuries, in memory of a dog only one of us could have met.

I've decided it's time to compile a list of my favorite fics!! It's not a comprehensive one because there are simply Too Many, but I'm getting as much as I can!!

These are all BNHA fics, and they're in no particular order- although there is a section for manga spoilers and for the... darker fics I'm reccing.

Each fic will have a little blurb a la me about the fic. I hope this helps at least a few people find some great new fics!!

All angst has a happy ending unless otherwise stated!

Each fic will have the word count, and a + symbol if it's a work in progress! (Fics that aren’t officially abandoned/on hiatus have a + sign the same as everyone else, so keep an eye out for that if you like fics with a guaranteed ending written.)

Making this helped me realize that I have a particular genre I'm fond of! (It’s found family/hurt comfort lol) I didn't hit every great fic I've read by every author I love, as that would simply be impossible, but I tried to come close! Believe me when I say that this was a labour of love.

Also, do not walk close to walls. It will be easier for someone so walk past you and push you against it or corner you.

If your gut is telling you to cross the street or change your path, do it. Don’t risk it. Your body knows.

If you can, buy a large umbrella and walk holding it. Studies say that predators are less likely to attempt an attack on someone that could fight back. Keys around your knuckles is fine but you’ll need to get very close to do damage. Umbrellas are more precise.

Avoid wearing headphones if you are alone on an empty street. Look aware.

Again: Stay. Away. From. Walls.

Entering an uber alone? Call your father (or anyone you trust) and say “hey dad! Yep, I’m almost there, I’m sending you the route.” outloud. Then proceed to send them the route so they can follow the uber drive. This will most likely intimidate the predator.

If you see someone in an uncomfortable or possibly dangerous situation, walk up to them and say “Betty, oh my god, I haven’t seen you in so long!”. If she gets slightly confused, you can whisper and let her know you’re trying to help and that she should follow along. Walk together to another station or away from where you are. The man will most likely not follow. I have done this one 2 times and can be very helpful.

If you are unsure she needs help, you can pass her a note saying something like “hey, I noticed this man beside you is making you uncomfortable. If you’d like help, fake a sneeze right now and I will come up to you and pretend we are friends.” This is a long note, but its an example. Be discrete. If she follows along, proceed with the previous tip. This is helpful when you’re in a crowded train and you notice harassment.

Help your sisters. Trust them. Trust yourself. Be safe.

Just saw a video explaining why putting a key between each finger is more likely to hurt you than them (the keys will just get pushed back into your knuckles). A better way to hold them is to get your longest key and just clench your hand around it, like you’re making a fist. That’ll give you a lot more force and means you can use them in more scenarios (if someone grabs you from behind, you can use the key this way)

1: if you’re reading a book with a large number of pages, you know, those BIG ONES, or with the hard cover, don’t leave it at home and never bring outside. I’m not saying to bring it everywhere, but if you are going to any possible dangerous places alone, bring them, in a purse or even by hand (to show it to everyone). Believe me, if you hit someone with it, it will hurt them!!

2: hairspray works just like pepper spray

3: if your being attacked, and you don’t have any pointed objects, neither training, put your fingers on the predators eyes and press it. With all your strength, it will leave them blind or disabled. Use it only if your life is in risk!

5: the iPhones have a great setting that if you press it will call police, send them photos of your back and front cameras and send a message to the contacts you select saying your in danger; press 5times the “turn off” button and it will appear -sometimes you have to activate it before-

I went to a self defense class yesterday and here are a few more tips I learned.

What to do if someone:

1. Grabs your wrists

The weakest point in a grip is the gap between the fingertips. If the grip is weak, turn your wrist so that the skinner part can slip through their fingers and thumb.

If the grip is tighter, drop your weight, pull your hand towards your face, then use your other arm and entire body weight to yank your wrist out of their hands.

Note: if your other hand/knees/elbows are free, use them! The eyes, temple, throat, groin, sides of knees, and foot are fragile. Have you ever been stabbed in the eyes with a finger before? Yeah.

2. Chokes you

Main thing: act quickly. This goes for all self defense actually. It takes time & practice for these moves to be ingrained into muscle memory.

But air kinda helps us live, so it’s really really important to be fast.

Lift an arm up, then turn your body so it knocks the assailant’s hands away. The turn has to be sharp. Put all your force into it. It’s not the time to worry about bruising the assailant.

Ex: If you lift up your right arm, turn left. Vice versa with left arm.

If that doesn’t work (esp if they are a lot bigger than you), you can always jab your fingers in the pressure point of their throat :D Step forward to increase pressure, and they’ll eventually let go.

3. Holds you from behind

You know when little kids suddenly droop in your arms, and they feel like they’ve gained 10 kg? Exactly. When someone picks you up, drop all your weight to the ground. DON’T FALL DOWN, but make it hard for them to carry you.

Then, stomp on their foot. Hard. With your heel. A human foot is very strong at the arch area, as it holds all our weight, but it’s super fragile near the toes. If you shatter some bones, they’ll loosen their grip in surprise, + with the bonus of being unable to chase after you.

Sometimes, you’ll be able to slip out of their grasp/move their arms away. Other times, they’re basically hugging you and lining your arms to your sides.

If your arms are pinned: simultaneously thrust your hips backward and arms (palm up) forward. It knocks them back & gives you a chance to run.

It’s a bit hard explaining self defense through words, so I suggest watching videos/attending classes to learn more. Find someone to practice with.
