30 day Jedi challenge Day 3
(I know I am a couple days behind.... I am catching up. of course I don't even know if much of anyone is reading :) But I will do this anyways)
Day 3 - Personality: What are your Jedi’s traits? Are they strengths or weaknesses or sometimes both? Describe their values and what motivates them, what gets them out of bed in the morning. What about alignment — does your Jedi lean to the dark side or the light side or balance in the grey?
She was born to be a Jedi. Or so her mother had told her for as far back as she could hold a memory. This intimidated her, this idea that she was predestined, per her mother, who and what she would be. This was in addition to the culture she was raised in where respect, dignity, loyalty, duty and honor was expected. In public everyone was normally quite formal and reserved.
When this upbringing was combined with the Jedi code and the expectation of behavior that it indicated it was clear why Minalde was like she was.
Anyone who were to describe her would use words like quiet, reserved, studious, respectful, honor bound yet driven to succeed. She was not a rule breaker, not someone who would take chances or step out of line, she always tried to do the right thing.
Those who knew her better though, knew she was compassionate, curious, relentless. Though the Jedi code cited “there is no passion only serenity” she did have a passion for knowledge, for helping others, healing and alleviating suffering, sometimes at her own expense.
For those who knew her the best, closest to her, and they were very very few, they knew she had a wry sense of humor, a love of music and for the simple beauty found in everyday life.
Many things changed though when she met Randall, a fellow padawan on Tython. He too was reserved but where she was thoughtful and contemplative, he was impulsive and did things on instinct. He had no respect for the rules and believed the end justified the means. Chance threw them together, and the connection between them was unmistakable. And slowly they began to change each other as time went by. He taught her there were times when rules must be broken, sometimes things that seemed bad might need to be done for the greater good, and sometimes you have to follow your heart.
