Hide and Seek || Lucille and Raine
Running through forest, Raine did her best to pull the stranger behind her along for the chase. “Wait, what even is that thing? Well, I know it’s a Pokemon, but why do you want it?” Raine skidded to a stop, frantically looking around her for the Pokemon. “Wasn’t it so cooool?! I guess it is creepy, but I don’t see a problem with that.” “Personally, I prefer cute ones, but I’ll definitely help you find it!” Still looking for the Doublade, Raine responded. “Well if you want to then I gue-” “Wait, wait, wait, wait, waaaait!! It’s over there!” “WHAT REALLY?!”
Raine darted behind the girl, trying to catch a glimpse of the Pokemon. “Oh, wait, nope, it left. But it was there, I promise!” “Ugh we we’re so close! We need to mOVE!” Raine grabbed on the the girl’s arm again, but suddenly let go when she felt resistance.
“Wait, hold up! I have a question before we go again!!” Straightening up a bit, Raine finally turned towards her. “Well yea I guess, just make it quick.” “What’s your name? We should introduce ourselves before we continue! After all, Gumdrop here will get pretty angry if I keep following you along without at least knowing your name!” Tapping her foot restlessly, Raine decided she should take the lead so she could get the introduction over with. “Ok ok my name’s Raine, Raine Gage. I’m from the farm just down this road. You?” The girl introduced herself as Lucille Moreau from Anistar City. “Cool, now let’s get going; I think the Doublade is probably in town already!”
Lucille smiled brightly, listening to Raine’s introduction. “You?” The blonde perked up as Raine looked in her direction. She bounced for a few seconds, happy to introduce herself, mostly because in her mind, it meant the two were officially friends. “WELL!” She started loudly, clearing her throat before continuing in a quieter voice, “I’m Lucille! Lucille Moreau, I live in Anistar City! I used to live in Laverre City, but I didn’t really like it there, so-”
“Cool, now let’s get going.”
With a small pout on her face, Lucille crossed her arms. “Hey, I didn’t even get to finish introducing myself!” Noticing that Raine didn’t hear her, the blonde let out a defeated sigh before slowly following her so-called friend towards the entrance of Dendemille Town.
Staying further behind, Lucille half listened as Raine made a remark, commenting that the Doublade was no where to be seen. “Well that really sucks, doesn’t it?” Lucille turned her head, still angry. Her eyes widened, seeing the ghost type behind some bushes. For a split second, she thought about not telling Raine where the pokemon was, but decided that she wasn’t mean enough to do that, no matter how upset she was. With another sigh, Lucille pointed towards the Doublade and turned her head to Raine. “I found it. Again.”
Seeing Raine spring up with excitement, Lucille let out a small laugh. “You know, maybe if you calmed down a bit and took the time to actually look around, you would be able to see it too!” Although she tried to sound helpful, the annoyance was clear in her voice. She looked back to the pokemon, which was surprisingly still in its place. She shuddered looking at it and quickly looked back to Raine. “Are you suuure that’s the one you want?”
“Are you suuure that’s the one you want?”
Oblivious to Lucille’s change in tone, Raine leaped into action. “You know it! Ok Pyrite, time to come out!” Raine pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it up, calling out her Cofagrigus. “Use Shadow Ball on that Doublade!” Ready for action, the coffin Pokemon began waving its ghostly arms around. A ball of energy began to materialize, which Pyrite launched towards the Doublade. It struck, and the Doublade dropping its sheath to the ground. Seeing her opportunity, Raine pulled out another Pokeball and threw it at the weakened Pokemon. This time, the Doublade wasn’t able to break free.
“Yes, we caught it!” Raine yelled, excitedly running over to her Pokemon. “I’m so excited, Doublade looks like another great partner!” Finally getting a chance to relax, Raine dropped to the ground with her legs crossed and stared at the Pokeball, almost in awe. She sat there for a minute, before speaking up. “Hey Lucille?” The girl looked towards Raine.
“Thanks, I’m not sure I could have found it without you.”
