I wanted to release a new print to commemorate one of my favorite times of the year- when the flowers start to bloom and the sleepiness of winter begins to shake. I created this piece with gouache and pastel inspired by one of my spring walks through the California poppies.Ā
This piece is a continuation of the theme of paths that unfold in my work over and over again. I createdĀ Blooming BalladsĀ while thinking about the idea of knowing yourself at every turn. While the paths we travel might fork and meander, we are always met with ourselves and the sureness of what we believe in. When we exist in our own truths the world will unfold around us and the flowers will sing.Ā
Blooming BalladsĀ is a 12" x 24" print, hand signed and numbered in a limited edition of 75.Ā

A modest book collection is attractively featured in this room and strategically placed behind a generous and comfortable sofa - a lure and boon to the recumbent reader.
Ladiesā Home Journal Book of Interior Decoration, 1959
I read somewhere that "When you choose a life partner you're choosing your eating companion for about 20,000 meals, your travel companion for about 70 vacations, your retirement friend, career therapist, & someone whose day you'll hear about 18,000 times" and I really can't stress this enough.
use, and i cannot stress this enough, thriftbooks
if thriftbooks doesnāt have what youāre looking for, especially if youāre looking for it used/cheap, alternatives include betterworldbooks and discoverbooks.
Other tips for cheaper books is checking amazon and scrolling down to the ābuy usedā or āother sellersā section and then checking to see if those sellers have storerfonts off of amazon.
There is also a good chance that you might have a local, indie book store that likely also has a used book section! Indiebound might help you find those book stores!
Also, check out your local library, sometimes, they have a for sale section or might have certain times of the year where they do massive used book (dvd, cd, etc) sales to fundraise!
(Itās also worth checking directly from an authorās or publisherās page and seeing if they have other places they sell their books. I know this is about cheaper/used books, since some of yāall arenāt built for piracy or the library, but also if you want to dodge supporting amazon AND want to more directly support artists you support, thereās a good chance they might have alternate ways to buy the books!)
I use thriftbooks a lot, it's so good!
as someone who works in an independent bookstore, alibris is the best for supporting yr local bookstore! abebooks is now owned by amazon. thriftbooks is great also just doesnāt usually support independent stores.
every time i draw wolfstar they just get sluttier and sluttier
I'm so used to Cassie's sizes of the books with 600-700 pages, so i need to adjust to 300 pages story pacing now ...
the first person narration has its pros & cons
And, I'm a little sad that I have so many
things and plot twists spoiled to me
āļø ...but it is what it is āļø
āļø and I'm fairly enjoying it āļø
