Pierre Riollet - Girl at the library
no offense but reading is literally the cure to brain rot and thereâs no work around to reading books
âWe are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.ââOscar Wilde. âš
Iâm obsessed with The Gutter Bookshop, on a street in Dublin across from a mural of constellations, with a great selection. I walked away with Crooked Cross by Sally Carson in its Persephone Books glory and At Swim, Two Boys by Jamie OâNeill. Itâs across from a lovely coffee shop to boot. A++!
Women reading in art.
âWe are of opinion that instead of letting books grow moldy behind an iron grating, far from the vulgar gaze, it is better to let them wear out by being read.â
âJules Verne

Back at it again at the coffee shop and farmers market combo, this time with D. H. Lawrenceâs Lady Chatterleyâs Lover. I just picked this copy up at a secondhand bookstore. :) The coffee is a pumpkin spice nitro cold brew and itâs such a complex flavor profile lol. I canât decide if I like it.

To acquire the habit of reading is to construct for yourself a refuge from almost all the miseries of life.

JOMP BPC || June 20 || Hello, Summer: A Lady For A Duke by Alexis Hall was today's choice for backyard reading!
Isn't that what life is about? Forging forward with the answer you have â stumbling along the way and picking yourself up - only to one day realise that the answer you've held on to for a long time is not the right one. When that happens, it's time to look for the next answer.

âI sought loneliness when I was young. Youâve seen me there: on my promontory, patient and unaware. But when I think of you, I want to be alone together. I want to strive against and for. I want to live in contact. I want to be a context for you, and you for me.ââThis is How You Lose the Time War by Amal el-Mohtar and Max Gladstone

Now in landscape.
I donât get the chance to re-read books as much as I used to, it my whole teenage Discworld shelf looked like this.

Update on my shelves! I was running out of space on my 3 bookcases, so I bought another Billy this week and added a fourth unit. Really happy with how this looks and how things are spaced out
The bottom two shelves on the left are most of my tbr books
