Returning to just say I 100% believe the endgame is that Alfonse is going to return with us to our world while Sharena takes over Askr as queen

That or just like how Embla could influence the bloodline of the Royal Embla Family, I think Sharena will be the focus on gaining Askr’s abilities.

Like I LOVE Alfonse but I really think the story is setting up Sharena to be the next successor because she’s the one in every single book trying to unite all the nations and worlds while Alfonse tries to keep the peace
