Hey guys! So I ended up getting a second job for the holiday season which is nice. Now I'm (attempting) to balance full time university, and two part-time jobs. The one i just got is only seasonal and is expected to last only two months so it shouldn't be so bad. I asked the store manager what their policy is on their part timers working more than one job (some companies are strict with that) and she basically said that my other job has to do my schedule around my scheduled shifts there. I just told her that wouldn't be a problem because my availability for both jobs don't overlap (they do). I don't wanna complain too much because I'm glad i got the job but how are you gonna expect my other job to work around your timeline if you only hired me for seasonal and are paying me minimum wage. Girl be fr. I complain but it really isn't that deep so I'm lowkey complaining just to complain.

Anywho, it started to kinda blizzard outside where I am which was an unpleasant-pleasant surprise. It's the type of weather that makes me wanna read but I had (and still have) lot's of online training to get done. So not much reading for me today unfortunately, but luckily I'll have lots of time tomorrow to get more reading done!

So another week begins! I can't lie I'm pretty tired already but I think that's because I keep thinking about the stuff I need to get done this week instead of actually starting. But hey we all have days like that, not a big deal. Anyways, today one of my lectures was cancelled so I only ended up having a seminar to go to. I ended up getting home earlier than planned too which was nice. That's all probably a sign that I should take the extra time off to study and to be fair i did get some reading done but I had to take a break to fix up some dinner. Our thermostat is currently broken so as expected it's colder than Santa's boxers. Since we have to wait for it to get fixed I've decided to use our new oven to make some lasagna in hopes it helps heat up the house even if it's only by a little bit. So while I wait for my food to cook I'm just posting a little yap sesh out into the void. I can't lie posting yap sessions like this is really fun for me. Maybe this is why people like to write what they feel on paper and set it on fire or write it on plates just to smash them. Anyways that's it for now.

p.s I wonder if Stan from "Dog with a Blog" (rip) had many followers

the lounge chronicles pt1

So for those that don't know (aka everyone) I'm currently a first year university student and I'm a psych major. I'm personally finding the workload manageable for right now my only gripe (kinda) is that I don't have as much time to write or read.

Right now I'm still trying to achieve my reading goal for 2025, my original goal is to finish 35 books this year and right now I've got 26 finished. According to goodreads I'm behind by at least two books which is fine its not the end of the world. The challenge is about having fun and I'm still having fun, I just wish that I had more time to read. I think in a perfect world I either own and manage my own bookstore or I'm rich and have my own at home library.

I'm also part of a horror book club and we have a book bingo set up for the year where each square is a prompt and if you read a book that applies you scratch the box out. You don't win a prize from the bingo or anything its just simply for enjoyment and if I'm being honest it's also helping me figure out what book to read next for my goodreads goal. As of right now I only need 9 more boxed scratched out and my binger sheet will be filled out. One of the prompts is "a book with 'in the' in the title" and I've chosen "Murder in the Bookshop" by Anita Davidson. The book is basically about a woman (in her 20's I think idk) and she lives in London and its during the beginning (I think) of WW1. She works in a bookshop that her aunt owns and one day she finds her best-friend's body dead in the bookstore. The book is about trying to figure our how and why she died because police at the time were stretched thin due to most of the men being in the trenches (literally). Anywho that's kinda what I've been up to reading wise. School wise I've been slacking, but I did somewhat make up for skipping class by getting a decent amount of studying done so there's that. I don't really wanna make these too long incase anyone does read these so I think that's it for now. Until next time!

hello world! :3

I'm kinda creating this blog account for when i wanna yap about random stuff but for the most part I'll probably end up yapping about books and school stuff. I haven't had a tumblr account since I was 12 and depressed and since that was almost a decade ago I lost my account so here I am creating a new one to spill my thoughts out into the void! I'm creating this blog because I'd like a space to yap about things and maybe get a sense of community (key word maybe, people kinda scare me). I doubt my blog on here will be popular by any means but just incase anyone happens to follow me I feel like I should do some housekeeping. First and foremost I am an adult and I may not post a lot (or any) NSFW or 18+ stuff I still would prefer that minors dni (Do Not Interact). Internet safety is very important and I don't want my page to be the reason that any minors see potentially harmful or inappropriate stuff. All in all I just want everyone to have a good time here or at least the closest they can get to it.
