Honestly after almost 20 years of watching anime there’s probably more I’ll write for that I’m just spacing right now. If you want something not on here my advice is shoot your shot- I’ll also update this list as I think of things

Now here’s what I will do:

Character Headcanons (SFW and NSFW)

Y/N x character (SFW and NSFW)

Ships (SFW and NSFW) and just a note I love weird crack ships and rare pairs, even if I don’t ship them, I think they’re fun

Anything creative! I think I have a series of mood boards, what BC character would wear in our world, what they’re rooms look like etc. If you pitch me an idea I have inspiration for I’m down

Here what I won’t do:

NSFW for a character who is only a minor in the show. For example I’ll do Naruto NSFW because he’s very obviously an adult in the last movie/wedding arc/Boruto but I won’t write any of the MHA kids because they’re all kids. I know that’s kind of an arbitrary line to draw but had to draw it some where

Anything violently illegal but I would write a head canon about steal something in a store, ya know? Hurt corporations not people

I’ll write some less intense forms of depression and like fallout from death if I’m up to it. But nothing surrounding SA, unaliving, or ED/self harm. Even if it’s about a character comforting someone- I’m just not in any kind of headspace to do that right now or maybe ever

With ships: no adult/child, no incest, no relationship if SA happened between the two in canon

Being With Yami Sukehiro

I love making these but it always takes so long. I don’t have another one in my queue but I do take requests! (You just might have to wait XD)

What it’s Like Being With Yami Sukehiro

“Sorry, you had to pick me up hot stuff. Finral ditched me,” Yami stumbled out of the bar. It wasn’t like the captain of the Black Bulls actually needed to be escorted home for safety reasons, but Finral gave the captain’s partner a heads up because a drunk Yami could do a lot of damage in one night. “Are you mad?”

He didn’t sound serious. He knew no one could be mad at his handsome face. But playfully ignoring him, the walk back to the base was actually quite romantic. A few fellow drunks were stumbling back home, but for the most part, it was quiet and peaceful, a far cry from how busy the streets usually were. Testing his limits, Yami moved his hand closer, brushing his fingers against theirs before tightening his grip. Hand holding usually wasn’t a Yami Sukehiro move, but they also felt warm and safe despite them being rough. “Dark magic gets a bad rep, you know.”

“I know.” His drunk musings were usually the same as these fancy nobles had flashy fire and mercury magics but failed to take what darkness could do seriously. Not that he was offended, he really wasn’t, but the attitude was annoying to put up with, especially at meetings.

“Maybe darkness, in general, gets a bad rep,” he stopped, looking up at the sky. “Without the dark, the moon wouldn’t look so beautiful,” it was beautiful, truly. Bright enough that it wasn’t hard to find the way home, and even though the warmth came from it being a summer night, it was hard not to think at least a little bit of it came from her glow. “Hey,” he turned to look at his partner, “come here,” he took their arm, pulling them against his chest so they could look at it together. “But it’s not nearly as beautiful as you,” he said softly.

Hearing something like that from a man like Yami was something that didn’t feel real, even to him. Quickly he realized what he said and started laughing, “God, don’t tell the squad I said something that sappy,” he let go and began to walk again, “not that anyone would believe you. The smile and wink he gave before facing forward were with the utmost confidence, but deep down, he wondered exactly what kind of comparison he was trying to make.

Hi!! I love your blog and I was just wondering if I could please request headcanons for how either kakashi and/or shikamaru would react to a reader with a lot of older brothers who are super protective over fem!reader. And how they would win her brothers over! Thank you! :)

Oh thank you anon! This is a super cute request! Both of these are going to be written when they characters are in their early twenties so right before Naruto for Kakashi and right after Shippuden for Shikamaru

Kakashi

Kakashi gets it- he was protective over Rin (and eventually is protective of Sakura) so he understands it comes from a good place and he's actually happy his partner has so many people who love her

You would think being one of the Leaf's most elite ninjas would be enough to instill a little trust, though. Then again people do call him "Friend Killer Kakashi"

Definitely turns to Iruka for help, and Iruka tells him to de-ninjafy himself in front of them and be as non-threatening as possible. Look as little like a killer as possible.

Kakashi thought he was already pretty non-threatening but when he asked Kurenai for advice, she said the same thing. She also told him to lose the porn books.

So Kakashi goes home "de-ninjafys" himself, begrudgingly so. Reminding himself how much he loves his partner every two seconds

Replacing the headband with an eye patch wears a nice shirt and pants instead of his jonin uniform and decided to only keep one kunai and scroll on him.

The mask stays, though, obviously.

He has a couple of uncomfortable dinners with her family like this. Uncomfortable because he is not convinced that they're buying this act and because not being in uniform is weird for him.

But I think after a couple of visits, he starts to get more comfortable and casual. Maybe a few times he forgets to change his headband or has to rush from a mission and is still wearing his vest, so he feels a bit more in his element.

What ultimately happens is they just get to know Kakashi. It might take a while, but once people get to know Kakashi, it doesn't take long to realize he isn't some cold-blooded killer, he's just a guy.

Eventually, I think he'd win them over and even becomes friends with them. Kakashi would never admit this, but he's always wanted a family.

Shikamaru

What a drag

He's dating his girlfriend, not her brothers- why should he care what they think of him? Does he really have to win them over?

It would be moments like this where he really misses Asuma and his father, which just makes the situation harder.

I actually think it'd make him question if he was good enough for his partner.

But ultimately, he decides that's her call to make, not his, so with a big sigh, he gets up and tries to smooth things over.

Her brothers probably just think he's some lazy slacker whose only claim to fame was being in the same class as Naruto.

He isn't entirely sure how to disprove that, so he does the only thing that seems logical- show not tell.

Since the end of the war, he had been working under Kakashi with all the Leaf's non-military expansions, and he's actually pretty proud of his work. The train that connects the villages, trade deals, humanitarian projects who the areas affected by the war, and Sakura's mental hospital for orphans- so he invites his girl and her brothers to a fundraising event.

Usually, he hates these things, but he's gonna get all dressed up and show her brothers that he's just trying to make the world a better place for her to live in, and if that doesn't work, he isn't sure what will.

Kakashi definitely catches wind of this plan and makes sure everyone hypes Shikamaru up the entire evening in front of his girlfriend's family.

And sure- the brothers are impressed, they didn't realize the scope of Shikamaru's work, but ultimately that wasn't what won them over.

After dinner, there was dancing, and even though Shikamaru hates dancing, his girlfriend doesn't, so he very sweetly asked her to dance, and the brothers couldn't help but notice the giant smile on her face the entire time.

+so nerveous! Intimacy and trust need to be there for sure during sex with William

+he's so self conscious and just wants to do a good job

+if his partner has more experience he's happy to let them take the lead and follow their directions

+however if they're also a virgin he's even more determine because he wants it to be a positive experience for them

+ultimately, either way, he's really sweet and tender

+he's maybe a bit too cautious and asks if he doing an okay job and if they're okay a lot but hey, nothing wrong with that!

+probably a bit too nerveous the first time to finish but he really enjoyed it

+asks a lot of questions about how they liked it after because he really wants to get better for them

Before he totally asks Yami for advice and at first Yami gives him ridiculous advice like “touch her elbow- girls love that” or some shit. William tries to walk away but Yami stops him and gives him useful pointers before shouting “SURPASS YOUR LIMITS!”

Being With Kakashi Hatake

What it's like being with Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi was truly the world’s busiest and laziest man. Someday, he hoped to pass that title on to Shikamaru, but he was the reluctant holder for now. But if it meant his kids could enjoy their youth longer than he got to, it was all worth it. Besides, soon Naruto would take over, and he could take early retirement, and in his retirement, he fully intended on enjoying his youth, if he still had some. “You’re making work very, very difficult, my dear.” Not that he minded having those legs in his eye line, the outline of their curves next to the mountain of paperwork, it certainly made being trapped in this office more bearable, but it also made him want to go home even more.

But they weren’t going to move. That’s why he loved them, so very stubborn. So he did his best to focus, an occasional finger intentionally brushing their skin, and if he needed a break, their thigh made an exceptional pillow. “You’re lucky I found you as an old man,” he scoffed under his breath, “if I were fifteen years younger, you’d be in trouble.” The idea did make him laugh. Maybe he wouldn’t have been such a miserable little brat if he had someone like them to call him on his shit, soften him up, love him, not die. A pretty pathetic list of desirable traits in a person, but with his luck, necessary. Looking up at those big shiny eyes he loved so much. He remembered another reason he took this stupid job.

Not as many people died when there was peace. As important as it was to protect his kids, and soon his kid’s kids, he wanted to protect them and, by extension, his heart. It couldn’t take much more loss, and so if his sacrifice for their safety were some late nights and paperwork, he would gladly lay himself on that stake. Looking back at his desk, he pulled his wallet out, “Why don’t you pick up some dinner and alcohol? I can finish up here earlier enough to have a suitable date night,” he smiled through his mask.

Being With Nanami Kento

For Anon :) Anon I am so sorry this is like three weeks late. I had finals and then got super sick. The past couple of weeks were a lot.

What it's like being with Nanami Kento:

“Sorry, I’m late.”

Nanami held a plastic bag from the Chinese place down the street in one hand. In the other was his jacket. His tie was incredibly loose, and upon closer inspection, blood on his collar. Nanami wasn’t the type to be late. Being an adult meant being on time, but if he had to be, he would come with take-out, an offering of forgiveness no one ever asked for, even if that day he had quite literally gone through hell and back.

“Those kids are going to be the death of me,” he groaned, putting the food on the table and pulling out plates. Despite the strain in his voice and obvious strain on his body, he carefully portions out the food for the one he loves most based on their favorites. Extra fried rice and only enough broccoli to reach a satisfactory vegetable intake. He takes the extra steps to make the cheap take-out look presentable, finishing it off with a glass of white that was nice enough to give someone he loves but not so nice that it felt odd to be drinking with this meal. On his plate, he threw on what was left.

Trying to ask him about the day is futile, although it’s easy enough to piece it together. He might not technically be a teacher, but he didn’t trust Gojou to always treat the kids like kids- he always thought the man put too much pressure on the young sorcerers to fulfill his vision, noble as it might be. They probably went into a fight, recklessly like their teacher, and had to learn the hard way that they weren’t the strongest. They weren’t like him. So Nanami, the saint he is, intervenes and not only has to fight a curse but tend to the students as well. Not just during but after, too, that was also a point of contention between the two men. Gojou wasn’t always the best to meet someone's emotional needs, especially after something traumatic. It was hard, exhausting, and long work, but someone had to do it.

But who took care of Nanami?

No one. Or that’s how he felt about it. He was strong, mentally and physically. The burden of the world was to fall as much as possible on his shoulders. “I’ll be right back. I should shower before sitting down to eat. I probably smell like sweat and blood.” He figured that he also probably wasn’t enjoyable to look at in this state, and they deserved only the best from him.

As he walked away, though, he found himself impossibly stopped by the small tug of his shirt. One hundred grade 1 curses couldn’t get him to budge, but that delicate hand, untouched by the darkness of his world, sometimes felt like the only thing keeping him grounded. Without another word, he sat back down and started to eat. It was silly to think that eating before a shower was anyone’s version of being cared for, but for a man who put everyone’s feelings and comfort in front of his own, the small gesture was the permission he didn’t know he wanted. It had been a long day, and all he wanted was to enjoy a nice meal in front of the most beautiful person in the world. That’s what made him feel taken care of.

Also when an article is published in a journal the author doesn't get paid per click or anything. Usually if you just email them expressing that you'd like to read their work but can't afford it 99.999% of the time they'll send it to you. Most researchers hate the journal system but kind of have to abide by it.
