One little detail that I love in the Lucanis romance, is that in the lock-in when he makes your favorite dessert, you can check the grocery list. This list is for the paella he made to go with dessert, and at the very bottom, Harding makes a note:

I love this so much. The way he keeps insisting that he made it for everyone, despite the fact that there was already going to be another dessert for this meal. It's just sweet.

I also love the idea of him stressing that his clever ruse is going to fall through, with this addition. I want to see him pretend that he just missed that note on his own grocery list, while Rook just grins at him.

I was joking about Thaisha's metal spine being a sort of fantasy scoliosis representation (for those unaware the corrective surgery for scoliosis involves the insertion of rods and screws into your back to hold the manually straightened spine in place) but...

I am now remembering that her PC Decima from when she guest starred on Bards of New York also had various magical metal prosthetics (that heated up!), and that Aabria mentioned in the Study Hall interview that she irl had multiple sports related injuries including a disc to the back that was the final end of her sports career.

So, I do wonder if the plates do speak to some chronic disability management or the magical intervention into some sort of serious injury that we might learn more about now that Thaisha is traveling alone.

Occtis didnt cry when he learned about his family's plans for him

Occtis just went to that secret place inside of him where he goes when everything goes bad

But the moment he saw Thimble again - boom

His relief and his gratitude for seeing Thimble again superceded the Hollow part of him so he could breakdown like anyone else
