Calan smiled softly and nodded. As he said, the pain had mostly subsided and in its wake a simply bruise. The infirmary had been sure to help keep the swelling down and he was instructed to ice it every so often.
"I told you, Rai, it looks worse. It’ll be fine. I promise. Powers go array sometimes, but we heal,” he tried to keep the preaching from his tone. He hadn’t meant for this to be some lesson to her; though she wasn’t the only one who struggled. He did want her to know that.
Rai took a deep breath smiling as she heard he was alright. Hugging him lightly and quickly she took a step away from him almost immediately after the small hug. She had been drinking quite a bit that day and her powers hadn't gone off much so she was sure that a small hug wouldn't hurt him. "I'm glad you're ok Calan." She gave him another small smile. "Are you busy?"
