What if I hurt him beyond the help of the nurses? What if I killed him? I ouldn’t live with myself. Dead is dead. There’s no coming back from that Leo.
I can work some magic. I do not want to force you to do anything but do not be afraid here.

What if I hurt him beyond the help of the nurses? What if I killed him? I ouldn’t live with myself. Dead is dead. There’s no coming back from that Leo.
I can work some magic. I do not want to force you to do anything but do not be afraid here.
I do not wish to hurt anyone Leo though in truth I would rather hurt you than him.
Do not be worried about hurting any of us. Our nurses are more then capable of healing us. I can heal myself as well.Â
"It’s worse than it looks," he assured the familiar figure that came in his room, stopping slightly. Had they heard about his afternoon? An antsy student with a nasty burst of power in his class. Luckily it had only left him with a headache and blackening eye.
Leo had decided to pop in to see his friend before heading home for a night. Towards the end of the semester, Leo got so little time off that it would be a nice break. "What is christ's name happened to you?" Leo was amused.
Overworking yourself to keep my mother away I assume.Â
More like hiding from her...
There’s no way for me to not be afraid of hurting him. I simply refuse to put him in danger because I’m a weak person.
Would you be afraid of hurting me?Â
Abigail & Leo
She’d been on her way to see Calan, their ritualistic morning tea with breakfast. She’d been humming as she moved down with Dash. Walking the dog was always on the agenda but he got loose the morning. Wincing she grabbed her skirts, wishing she could speak to the dog like her little brother as she chased him down. “Dash!”Â
When she came into the clearing she came to the a stop, bursting through a push as one of her strands of hair broke free of her perfect bun. Her nose bunched as she pressed it right back into place, snapping her finger calmly as the dog raced for Leo. Her breath came out in a whoosh as she tried to calm herself. She’d disturbed him, and hadn’t meant too.
"I didn’t mean too distur— Dash! Enough!" The dog instantly went in for attention and licking, smothering the man with attention. Her smile was soft but she moved over quickly, reaching for his leash. "I’m sorry he got away from me this morning. We were on our way to see Calan."
Right after he saw Abi, he saw the dog. He liked dogs well enough but not when they were charging right for you. As an instinct, Leo put out his hand in self defense. Inches from his face, the speeding dog stopped. Leo realized what he was doing a split second later. He closed his hand and the black dog rushed in for the kill. Leo's face got clean with dozens of licks. "Alright, alright," He tried to laugh it off but he was still preoccupied with what he had just done.Â
Years had gone into the control that he had now. An out burst like that was unacceptable. The dog did not seem hurt, but did Abi see? Had she ever seen what he could do? Leo decided to act normally. "It is perfectly alright. May I walk with you back to the school?" Leo smiled.Â
"i’d offer you a drink but I went through quite a bit of trouble to get this, so pardon me if i’d like to keep it to myself."Â
Aren't you supposed to be in bed? And aren't you not allowed to have that?
Always trapped in your office then?
Often times I prefer my office.Â
Abigail & Leo
Leo let the cool breeze wash over him. It was late fall, the leaves were turning and falling all around the Institute. The flower bushes in the massive gardens were dying. There was a bite in the air, a sign of things to come. They would have to be ready for a long winter. But Leo did not wish to think about that. He was meditating.Â
It was a routine of his. Each morning, he would venture into the gardens and find a quiet spot. Most people assumed he was going off to read, but he never did. He would settle himself in a shady, solitary spot and close his eyes. The vast majority of the people at the Institute had no idea Leo was a hemophiliac. He did well to mask it. No matter how powerful he got, it would alway be there. These morning meditations helped keep unnoticed bleeding in check.  Â
So there Leo sat, eyes closed, hands together. He felt is heart beat, he felt the blood coursing through his veins. Awareness was the goal. But a sudden sound brought him back to reality. Relatively angry, he looked up to find the tiny Abigail peeking out from around a bush. Leo could not be mad at her for an innocent mistake. "Good morning, Abigail," Leo smiled, his voice still a little groggy in the early morning.Â
So would it not be a problem if I had meant to? Calan is trying to help me but I’m afraid of hurting him.
Don't be afraid to hurt him, we is here to help you.Â
Find somewhere else to bed across the campus? Acting like I’m busy tends to throw her off.
I can offer up my house, I do not use it much.Â
It was not something anyone wanted to talk about, her face crossed as she moved to the basin yet again. Seeing the furrow set of his brow, it was just her nature she supposed. Taking the cloth that he’d set aside, wrining it out in the cool water. The need to do something with her hands, the need to be of use. It was her insecurities talking perhaps. “Lucas,” she said her brother’s name with an air of fondness that wasn’t betrayed by her wide smile.  ”He is.. not turning his work on time and forgets to proof read all of his assignments. Smarter than he wants to let on, he is my little brother..” Pride shown threw, Abi had raised him well. “He won’t need me much longer now.”
Returning shortly after she placed the cloth against his temple, “Mind your headache..”
"From what I have seen from him, he is a kind boy," Leo thanked Abigail for the towel. His head was hurting again. That was really the only illness he got. All the others were rather simple to cure. Maybe his head was hurting because he had not meditated. It was essential to keep Leo from bleeding to death. In a fit of panic, Leo jerk forward and checked his ankles by lifting up his trouser legs. Nothing.
Once his mind was put to rest, he was painfully aware of Abigail. "I am sorry," Leo frowned.
Abi smiled, though her face was awash with confusion for a moment— his hand outstretched. She smiled, it was well meant and she found herself taking his  hand before she thought otherwise her free hand taking the book from her chest. She had never not wanted his company. To be fair. she felt comfortable when he was near. Quiet, “The right people? And I would assume you know them Mr. Fairchild?” It was almost teasing, though her tone was always proper as she returned her hand to her side once they were outside of the library.
"I know them. Really you just have to know you will appreciate sweet talking," Leo lead the way down the corridor towards the dining hall. It was empty, mostly. One or two children were finishing up dinner, but the serving line was closed. "Come," Leo offered her his arm before leading her inside the kitchen.
