It messes me up to think about Tilly and Mary-Beth managing to get away from the gang before it collapses entirely, getting to have lives of their own, and only reading in the paper/hearing gossip later on about how Arthur died.

Sure, they both likely either knew or guessed that he wasn't going to live long even if the law hadn't intervened, but knowing that the last time you saw him was a day or two at most before he died can't make it any easier.

What messes me up even more is the thought of how they both might have felt during the period from 1907-1911.

It's been eight years since they left the gang, things have moved on and they've formed their own lives - Mary-Beth as a writer, Tilly as a wife and mother. Then this man they haven't seen since their outlawing days runs into them; he asks how they're getting on, and says that he's also settled down and made a new life. Mary-Beth gives him a book to remember her by, Tilly promises him that she'll write.

Canon doesn't tell us anything about what went on with them in the years between, but maybe they kept up an irregular correspondence. There are photographers' studios in Saint Denis and Blackwater - maybe the Marstons exchanged family photos with Tilly and her family. Maybe it's an awkward set of interactions at first with how much time they've lost, but they get used to it and become a kind of long-distance extended family.

Then the year is 1911. Mary-Beth and Tilly stop receiving letters, and begin to worry as time passes. But it's fine, they think, sometimes there are dry spells where no letters arrive, it doesn't have to mean anything.

Until finally the newspapers break the silence: the final members of the Van der Linde gang have been killed... including John Marston.

Draw Keiran fishing

Not sure if you played rdr2 but it would be cool to see a drawing of your Arthur's outfit

Draw the rdr2 characters in another universe. (Maybe roles are swapped or a world where characters who died live and what they would look like/be doing in the epilogue)

Draw characters from different scenes. (Ex: Arthur wearing a suit from either the party or boat mission in ch 4, Arthur's outfit from guarma, characters wearing their colter outfit, etc)

That's all. I honestly don't have too many ideas atm, but I hope this could maybe inspire you :-)

Gang Horses Coats, Part 2

This group contains some of the hardest examples for me to pin down, so... don't take it with a grain of salt, take it with an entire 5lb. bag.

Baylock (Micah's)

Black splashed white | official coat is just black (splashed white is best known for being large white markings along the lower half of the body, but it can also be quite small, or even almost nonexistent. But the large face marking + blue eyes implies splashed white to me, or possibly overo, which can do the same thing.)

Boaz (Javier's)

Black frame overo | official coat name is grey overo, which is visually accurate, but genetically the grey gene behaves very differently (just 'black' doesn't quite satisfy me, but none of the other genes that would produce a greyish tint seem to fit either.)

Bob (Sadie's)

Sooty buckskin | official coat name is gold dapple (Sooty isn't a very clearly understood phenomenon irl, but is commonly credited for this kind of darkening of the coat and dappling.)

Branwen (Kieran's)

Flaxen chestnut roan | official coat name is flaxen roan, which is accurate if incomplete

Brown Jack (Bill's)

Silver bay | official coat name is brown roan (This is the one I'm least content with/sure of, simply because there's so many subtle contradictions. If not for ONE DETAIL, I'd call him a flaxen chestnut without hesitation. That one detail, though? The black legs - an almost automatic indication of bay genetics. But with bay genetics, the mane should be black - unless there's silver present. So... sigh. Silver bay it is. And roan mixes white hairs into the coat to make it paler, which there's no indication of, so I'm skipping that part for him.)

The night of Jack's welcome home party is the first time she's seen Kieran truly happy.

He jolts with surprise when she asks him to dance, stumbling over apologies, insisting that it would be a disaster, that he never learned how. That's not important, she tells him, unless he honestly doesn't want to.

Taken aback, he falls silent. Then hesitantly grasps her hand.

It's as awkward as he predicted, their steps not coordinated like they ought to be, leading to more than one collision. And it's wonderful. His hand is shyly light on her lower back, the other still clasped with hers like a lifeline. Their eyes don't meet, but at this distance she can see the soft smile he's trying to hide.

Too soon, the music halts and so does their dance. Stepping back, Kieran thanks her in a roughened voice - for the dance, for indulging his awkwardness, she's not sure - then disappears into the darkness with a mumbled excuse about checking on the horses.

She sighs, already missing their little moment of solitude. But it's alright, she tells herself, there will be others.

Only when morning comes, she finds that there won't ever be any more moments like this one.

Gang Horses Coats, Part 1

I'm no equine genetics expert, so there may be better guesses available for what colors these horses are, but this is my personal take on them! I'll be doing the rest of the gang's horses too at some point.

The Count (Dutch's)

cremello | official coat name is albino, which doesn't exist in horses.

Silver Dollar (Hosea's)

greying black | official coat name is silver, which is a real gene, but doesn't behave that way on black horses. (I look at this as meaning Silver Dollar is on the very young side for a grown horse, due to grey slowly taking over the coat as a horse ages. Therefore, by 1907, he would be much closer to pure white!)

Old Boy (John's)

silver bay | official coat name is silver bay, so good job there (though tbh the black on the legs is subtle enough that I've also toyed with the idea of considering him a flaxen liver chestnut, which would produce the same look without the black legs)

A little twist for RDR2 centaurs: the horse part's coat is that of the character's respective horse, i.e., centaur Dutch with a cremello Arabian-build lower half.

I'm gonna say that Arthur's would be the black Shire, just because I'm not sure anything else would be big enough XD
