Took Junkrat away from him. These omnics, they couldn’t be trusted. They weren’t human. They couldn’t be trusted, and it seemed that he was the only person who understood that!

“That’s a pretty…interesting choice.”

Sean just gives him a look - listening comprehension doesn’t seem to be this dude’s strong suit, huh. He leans back as Vincent leans in, body language too aggressive for his liking. His drink should have enough alcohol content to burm well, but Sean can‘t be sure he’ll get out of the ensuing chaos quickly enough.

“Fuck, sure! Let me rip off my other fucking arm just so I have a reason to stick more metal into my fucking body! Boy I love me some good old ghost pain in the morning, works better than coffee!”

In his defense, Sean is on edge, tired, and not drunk enough for someone to bring up such a sore spot. If on command his stump acts up and Sean reaches up to rub at it.

But if there’s one thing that’s a universal language, it’s food - at least Sean hopes it is. Careful not to make any movements that the creaturemight take as threat he digs around in his pockets. He has no idea what sort of diet that thing has, but the teeth look carnivorous.

Well, all Sean’s got is a granola bar.

He unwraps it as slowly and with as few crinkling that’s possible with just one arm and his teeth, and breaks off a bit to hold it into the general direction of the creature. The rest he keeps between his teeth - only scrubs need hands to feed themselves.

     The hissing continued even as Sean stood down and searched his person for something… anything. Didn’t matter. Stash snarled louder again, trying to get his attention and to get the other to back off. He was scared shitless. He didn’t want to press forward– but maybe he could take Sean… not that he wanted to. Didn’t want to hurt anyone.      Was that a fucking nature bar? The growling died down as the beast stared at the treat. Then it revived back up. A granola bar brought him no comfort. He wanted his car and his privacy. Very subtly, his claws slipped on the interior– making more of a mess– and he held his ground. It’d take more than sweet treats to gain his favor, it seemed… at least for now.

Sean’s patience is wearing very thin now - he isn’t a patient man to begin with. He stares down the creature as he let’s put his frustration by chewing very hard. Maybe he should take the bar back and eat it himself. While he thinks on his next step, a 2nd granola bar disappears into his mouth. And then it hits him.

“You stay right here. I need a hand for this.”

Usually he’d look for some well hidden place to do this shit, but he doesn’t want to let the creature out of his sight for longer than necessary. Even if he might scare it shitless - more shitless than it already is. Besides, there’s nobody around anyway.

When Sean returns to the driver’s door Katum is already, literally, at his side, the smell of sulphur still clinging to both of them.

“Alright, I think I’ve watched enough Wildlife Aid to know how this works.”

Good thing Katum is scaled, it’s really hard to grab the creatures neck with all the quills in the way.

Sean can actually claim he can relate and it wouldn’t eben be a lie. Maybe a small white one, but that’s just the details. Details he doesn’t actually want to disclose to his chance encounter - Vincent, was it - for both his savety and that of Katum.

He can actually feel the twinge of sympathy shoot up his arm.

At least nobody has questioned his “prosthetic” yet. Small mercies.

“That shit always looked so fucking heavy to carry, and the mess…”

“Bodies ain’t that heavy my friend. trust me-” Vincent muttered, simply - fiddling with the bands around his arms. Nothing much - just stuff he was given as he’d grown up made out of rubber and twine. His eyes looked up at Sean, examining his appearance. The prosthetic was practically staring him in the face, and he wasn’t how to best address it.

He never had that much against prosthetics. Most of the time they were forced upon you. You couldn’t exactly refuse one unless you lived in a community like his own in Junkertown. 

“So…um. How’d you lose your arm?”

The amount of fiddling Vincent does makes Sean want to fiddle with something, too, adding needlessly to his restlessness. He just wants to get out of here!

The question doesn’t surprise him, his luck was never that good, but that it had taken so long to come up. Sean shrugs, half-truths have served him well so far, he’s not going to try and pull something out of his ass.

“Was working on something unstable and,” another shrug,“ boom. As those things go. Dropped the projrct, after, focused on repurposing this arm,” he wiggles his fingers,” and turn it into a prosthetic.”

The creature is posturing, but it’s not making any move to attack. Sean stares at it in confusion for a long moment as he slowly lets his hand sink - reduce the percieved threat, figure out just what the shit he’s dealing with.

It’s not infernal, but Sean can feel magic tug on his senses - which is not actually surprising, a creature like that is either magic or weird science. Good thing it’s magic though, because science is far beyond his abilities.

“Heeelllooooo there fella, mind telling me just what the fuck you’re supposed to be?” Dean keeps his voice as soft as possible, maybe if the creature calms down just enough he can examine it a little closer. Those claws and quills look painful.

     Still, he continued to growl. Even as Sean lowered his hand and let his guard down, Stash was not at all comfortable with him being here. Stash couldn’t run. He couldn’t even operate the damn car… he’d have to physically push it somewhere else, now that someone found his space… could he move it to the hideout?       Sean spoke, trying to be soothing. The jagged teeth remained parted, mouth open as vocal chords rattled in the monster’s throat. Continuing to warn him, without the use of words. Wasn’t like Stash could talk anymore. He just wanted the other guy to back up off his car. Territorial behavior, though, wasn’t the monster’s influence… that was still Stash.

Sean’s plan had been to just drop by, say hi, get what he needed, then be on his merry way.

But there’s no reaction to him whatsoever, neither the knocks nor when he tries to call him, so before Sean breaks the rear window knocking this hard, he decides to go investigate instead.

The car is unlocked, and immense worry spreads in Sean’s stomach - slowly he makes his way to the driver’s door, calling heat to his finger tips. There’s something on the seat.

Sean’s seen a great deal of creatures both with his own eyes and his books, but this is new. Potentially hostile?

He pulls the door open quickly, ready to defend himself should that thing attack.

     He hadn’t seen Sean– the man had been in his blind spot, and so the knocking had terrified Stash. The beast scuffled a bit, trying to hide… as much as a giant monster could. He became completely aware of how fucking cornered he was. He’d been hoping sitting in the car would make him happy.       Seeing the ginger on the other side, it took Stash a moment to recollect. It’s Sean. He hadn’t seen that man in so long… but like anyone else, he didn’t seem happy to see the other. Ever fiber of Stash’s being screamed Just run! But he couldn’t leave his car. Nor could he pocket it… he couldn’t lose his car again.       The door opened– and the quills and claws are quick to accidentally damage the upholstery as he got into a defensive position. He’s hissing and snarling, giving warnings like an angered opossum would. He had to defend his car. It was the only thing he had that was of comfort to him anymore.

The beast is repeatedly aware of his distressing state of existence, and each day proves testament of Stash’s unyielding tendency to keep himself alive.

For someone who had only ever wanted affection and appreciation, being a hideous and unlovable creature is almost a death sentence in itself. Almost.

He continued to stare into his own reflection, six eyes keeping watch of his surroundings. The other two were zoning out and trying to dissociate from this physical form. Keyword: trying. Every time he caught sight of himself— hard carapace-helmet, bright eyes, mossy fur, and irregular shear-teeth— he expelled yet another disappointed sigh.

     “I don’t smoke,” Stash reminded him. Though he doubted the redhead remembered. He took Sean’s only arm and looped it around his shoulders to help him get balance and support, beginning to lead him somewhere more private… and clean. “You can nap when yer cleaned up.”

Sean is very unsteady on his feet, dazed from the impact of whatever had ruined his nose - details were blurry. “I think the nose makes me distinguished.” The slurring does, too. Sean is still holding on to Stash’s hand - for support of course - and it’s a blessing and a curse, because Sean really needs a smoke, and Katum isn’t here and. He lets out a loud, drawn out whine.
