Hey if you haven’t heard Monkey Island games are REALLY GOOD like do people even know that Guybrush died and came back as a ghost and a zombie and eventually to life again solely because he and his wife love and trust each other so much that she knew he’d get her back even after being turned into an Evil Demon Queen???? (sorry for the spoilers but I had to get new people interested SOMEhow… he’s a perfect blorbo! get on it tumblr!)

Anyway Tales of Monkey Island is the fifth game and doesn’t get nearly enough love so. Big overdue lyrics art post enjoy for it! Felt appropriate for Halloween month, too

OK but how about this. When nishiki and kiryu fight in yakuza 1, have the final impact punch be a homage to the fish and the dragon.

After nishiki tells him "you call that a punch?!" Have nishiki jump off the walls (so he's higher in the air) and.. he does the dragon King kick. Yup, kiryus kick. The one he would go onto use in every game after, was something he learnt from nishikis fight.

Everything slows down, and on screen you see it. Maybe kiryu also sees it earlier on in the story too but anyway. Its a tapestry, showing the fish high in the air, as the dragon gets ready to attack him. If the dragon hits, then the koi fish falls and he fails. But if the fish can take down the dragon in this moment, he becomes the new dragon.

And kiryu, seeing nishiki about to strike him down, does the kick. Yknow, the one he's usually shown with in the dragon style even though he never does that to hurt enemies. I want it to be like, relevant so it makes sense for him. I love iconic iconography, but I also like iconography when it makes sense.

And the fish falls. Then basically most things are the same but I include an emotional scene between nishiki and kiryu where nishiki accidently instills some of the awful kiryu habits he would continue to harbour for the rest of his life (always protect those around you, live a normal life, never forget this)

OK so kiryu was already doing all this but this is drafts I'm sure I can make it cooler and sexier later on. Only problem really with yakuza 1 is jingu. How the fuck do you make someone like him actually interesting? Only thing i can't figure out, really.
