Teemo shrugs slightly. “I don’t know, some people are just picky, and I think some feel scared, or get jittery when someone likes someone they like, or someone they don’t think is right. Some people along the mating lines think that mating, while should be pleasurable, should only “mate” so to say with a person that they eventually have offspring with. I just like people being happy,” Teemo said with a smile.

"That's something that is okay. I mean, mating really is only for keeping your species alive. Nothing more really." Rammus said, shrugging off the concepts of taking pleasure from mating. To him it was only preservation of the species.

  Janna tilted her head in concern. “You don’t know… what a birthday is? It’s when people and friends celebrate the day that you were born. Sometimes you get gifts, sometimes you just get to enjoy the company of others. In this case, I guess it’s both.” She scratched her head. “How did you celebrate it in the wild?”

"Well, we never really did celebrate it. I guess for us living was how we did. We got food, we drank water, we roamed in packs. There wasn't really much else to do." Rammus said matter-of-factly.

"The jungle doesn't really hold many parties or festivals like people do. But we do have mating season. Heh. That's sort of like one in a sense. But I think a celebration would be nice. But I'd have to go get a lot of things to give people..." Rammus said, worried about how many gifts he should get for people, misunderstanding what Janna had said.

  “Um…” She takes the bananas in her hands, holding them and watching him grin up at her. “You don’t have to give me anything back in return. It’s a gift for a reason. It is your birthday after all.” Janna held the bananas out before her again, insisting that Rammus take them back from her. “I’m glad you enjoy that cactus though. I knew you would like it, a little steam golem told me.” She beamed at him lightly.

At the mention of birthday, Rammus's head cocked. He had never heard of the term birthday. Albeit yes today was the day he was born, he was confused as to why he was getting a gift for being born. For him, wasn't the chance of living and seeing the next day enough?

"Oh. Uhm. Well, what is a birthday?" Rammus asked, scratching his head. "I've never really had one, and I mean, we don't really celebrate them out in the wild..." Rammus, said, looking away from embarrassment.

"What all do people do on a birthday?"

A Reminder of Home

Surprise: Drable about my character surprising yours.

Rammus’ birthday was coming up. Not entirely sure how old he was, and not that close to him either, she wasn’t sure what to get. Rammus was a good enough friend to her that they spoke once in awhile, and he even offered her some bananas, but other than that, they weren’t so much friends, but fellow champions of the League. 

Asking around, Janna wanted to get him a good gift, even though they were not close. Something that the armadillo could appreciate. Stumbling upon Blitzcrank one day lounging around, she asked him of any ideas she could get for Rammus. “Beep boop. A cactus.” That was all the steam golem informed her of before he hobbled off to do whatever it was that he did to pass the time.

Where the hell am I going to get a cactus. Janna thought to herself. She was sure that someone could conjure up a cactus using their magic… Or maybe they had a store nearby the Institute somewhere. With her winds causing her to move quickly, she ventured in search for a store when alas she found one just a bit aways from the Institute. The cashiers questioned and wondered why such a beautiful and majestic woman was buying such a crude plant, but Janna waved them off.

The next day, Janna was excited to present her gift to the little armadillo. “Here,” she said, handing the small pot with the cactus in it down to him so he could take it. “I hope you like it.”

Rammus had taken the small pot, surprised that she had guessed that he had been missing his homeland. Rammus started smiling, remembering all the wonderful times he had around cacti with his family, and the caravans that had driven through the desert and stopped at night times. He began to remember fondly of one of the friendlier caravans that had gave him the very first banana he ever had, but then was struck with confusion at the realization that Janna had randomly just decided to give him a cactus.

"Why, thank you kindly Janna. I greatly do appreciate the cactus. But uhhh.... I don't quite know how to return this gift... I could always....Yeah. Okay." Rammus said, running back to his room to place his new cactus in, and to bring Janna back a gift.

Rammus returned with a bunch of bananas, and handed them to Janna. "Here you go. I gotta go back to town, but I mean, I hope you enjoy the gift." Rammus said, smiling at Janna's sincerity.

  Teemo shakes his head slightly. “Not really,” he began, “most people around here just walk past me without a word”. He looks down slightly then back to Rammus with a slight grin. ” my guess is because I’m small…or because I blend in so well and my training is that good. That’s what I like to believe at least,” he said with a sad smile. “What about you, have you heard anything in particular?” he asked with a small tilt to his head.

"Oh you know, this and that, people finding mating partners, and people going out and exploring." Rammus listed off, actually using his fingers to tally all of these.

"People sure do act weird about their mates. I don't quite understand it though." Rammus said, scratching his head. "You got any idea why they act funny about mates?" Rammus questioned with genuine curiosity.

  The Starchild nodded and helpped Rammus place Corki onto the bed, running a hand over the yordle’s figure. “I can do my best for him, but I’m not sure how much I really can do.” She shook her head, starting to channel her magic into Corki, attempting to force the water that might be in him up and out of his airways, any smaller wounds he had healing almost instantly. “Stand back Rammus, he might go into shock when he wakes up.”

Rammus followed what Soraka had ordered, but looked behind to find a bed behind him. He jumped up on the bed, waiting to see if she could get Corki alive, but the exhaustion finally hit him for the final round. His eyelids started to get heavy, and in a nearly-asleep rambling said, "Lemme.....Corki okay.....better healthy....give banaaa...." With that he was out.

Soraka gave a start as the armadillo burst into her medical ward. She blinked, taking in the sight of Corki in Rammus' arms and pointed at a bed. "Place him here and give him space. What happened?" she questioned, guiding the distraught Champion further inside. "How did he get like this?"

Rammus was putting all his effort into not collapsing on the floor right there. "Corki underwater.....Rock attached....I saved..." Was all Rammus could really get out between trying to catch his breath. The little yordle had been rather heavy for Rammus. After catching his breath, he continued on. "I don't know how long he was under the water for but I figured you would be the best person to go to. Please help..." Rammus said with a great sorrow in his voice.

When Rammus arrived at the lake, Corki was under the water, tied to a large stone.  He couldn't take the Institute of War any longer.  It had overwhelmed him and he had decided to end it all.  No more killing and being killed by friends for trivial political issues that didn't matter to him.

Rammus was panicking. He needed to get Corki medical attention fast and couldn't powerball. Furthermore, he could feel the exhaustion kicking in. He ran with all his effort, almost as if adrenaline had kicked in, towards Soraka. Soraka could easily fix this issue. Rammus bursted into Soraka's medical clinic, screaming for help. He needed Corki to live for he couldn't lose another friend. Between all his friends in the jungle and desert and Vlad rampaging through Piltover, he wanted just one friend. For Rammus, Corki was that slice of home and couldn't let that go.

When Rammus arrived at the lake, Corki was under the water, tied to a large stone.  He couldn't take the Institute of War any longer.  It had overwhelmed him and he had decided to end it all.  No more killing and being killed by friends for trivial political issues that didn't matter to him.

Rammus had seen the bubbles coming out of the lake and dived in headfirst to save Corki. He couldn't take losing another friend, he lost one too many in the desert and jungles and wouldn't know what to do without his new friend. It was weird. Rammus had never felt this much compassion towards one person, and he was realizing how much he truly cared for Corki as he cut the rope with one of his claws and swam to the surface.

"Corki don't die on me!" Rammus said, as he got to the shore and made sure the Corki was still breathing. Rammus proceeded to do CPR on Corki, muttering, "Dammit not another!"

Heh. Okay. Rammus Here.: Home for the Armordillo

The match lasted an hour and a half.  By the end, nobody wanted to even fight anymore.  Corki and rammus killed each other due to Rammus' w combined with his thornmail.  Rammus' team went on to finish Corki's team and destroy their nexus.  It was a long fought battle, but none felt it more than Corki and Rammus.  Upon leaving Summoner's Rift, Corki ran out of the Institute, fed up with having to fight his friends.

As soon as Rammus had been summoned back to the Institute, he ran looking for Corki, not even taking a single moment to rest. Exhausted, he searched all over until finally someone had told him Corki ran out of the Institute in tears. Rammus had an idea of where he would be, at the lake where they first had met.

Rammus powerballed as fast as the tired little armadillo could, and when he got to the lake, he yelled out, "Corki! Please don't leave!"
