start thinking of rejection as redirection - what is for you will not pass you
“We must accept the end of something in order to build something new.”

Arizona - 2019
Some day, I would really like to spend time, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Find a remote area or a community, seek out stories and go with what ever happens. I am sure, that a person that can thrive in a rough and secluded area, like in the middle of nowhere in Arizona, must have a very interesting back story.
As a photographer, I honestly have been feeling a bit uninspired. What ever was pulling me out to photograph in the beginning, is not there anymore. I am for some reason much more drawn to video and stories now. There is no point in resisting who you really are. Identity is a fleeting thing, what made you tick 10 years ago, might not today.
Rather than trying to suppress this, keep making a living the same way and find joy in something else, I am just going along with this change. I will still keep everything “afloat” by doing assignments like I have been doing for years, but all my free time, all my extra energy, will be channeled into making stories.
