Something soft and warm and kind of… weirdly moist against his mandibles, that’s what. And the pink minibot was there, all of a sudden, and she was looking up at him seeming pleased as punch with herself. Rampage scrunched up his face and rubbed at the spot she’d planted one on.

He’d… better say something, huh. Make at least some attempt to address the situation, inexplicable as it was.

“…Ahem. If you’re trying to eat me, I welcome you to make a fiercer effort, because that was… frankly pitiful.”

“It was a kiss! Haven’t you ever gotten a kiss before?” She asked curiously, kisses were nice!!

“...That was a kiss? I thought kissing was just... that mutual mouth-slap infatuated morons like to perform on each other. Not. Whatever that was.”

He was hardly going to answer the first question, of course. The most important thing was that there was clearly more to this ‘kissing’ business than he’d initially assumed, and he was so, so starved for mental stimulus in this hyped-up state that it very nearly seemed like it might be fun to learn something.

“What’s even the big deal about kissing anyway. It’s just-- just a face thing, like your face goes mmmpt on somebody else’s face and your mouths do. That. And for some reason people get all... all fluttery and fizzy when they do it, but it’s just a... weird flesh-slap, like a little punch but soft, and people don’t like it when you punch them so why do they like punching their lips softly on other people’s faces. Why does it make them feel things that taste like... uh... like...”

Yeah, he doesn’t have the vocabulary to describe the taste of affection, especially since his mind’s still going at 300 miles per hour. But. 

Why does kissing do that.

Is he okay? He has no idea. What is ‘okay’, even? Is anybody ever okay? He doesn’t think ‘okay’ is an emotion. If it is one, he’s never tasted it. Or he’s never known he’s tasted it. How would ‘okay’ taste? The obvious answer is ‘okay’, but, no how would it really taste. Is ‘okay’ a good thing to be? Is he more or less okay than usual? What was the question again?
