These are probably my favorite set!!!! The vertical planks and depth of field give this a lot of movement and texture!!!

Session 15: Final post Project 3

I think these 4 Photos have a connection in the angles , there is an [A] shape in all of them, along with depth of field giving the illusion of movement and illusion that there is space or that it's 3D on a 2D surface.

I believe there are 2 focal points in the first photo- 1 being the yellow dandelions in the front but I also feel that some people might look directly in the middle of the photo out into the space of the trees. The color scheme is supposed to be about the yellow all throughout the field. The small flowers made to look bigger than the background gives the illusion of space. Since our brains know that flowers aren't really bigger than trees we study the photo and realize that the angle of the photo makes it look 3D.

In photos #2 and 3: The fence posts and the angle at which I took the photo gives movement to the object. The repeat in vertical lines and taken at a side angle is what gives it movement and seeing the posts get smaller the farther away they seem, just like in a photo of drawing railroad tracks or a road, giving a 3D look and feel actually bring space into the photo. The color scheme is the color of the wood and adding the floor, the flower planter and the chairs all having the same color scheme, tinted on the sides and shaded on the back giving even more illusion. The focal points for me would be the distance (the wood planks farthest away).

In photo #4: The focal point is the farthest part of the swing set, almost directly in the middle of the photo. The large size of the poles in the top half of the photo gives the illusion of space and making all the other bars in the photo look smaller and giving dimension. The green and rusted color scheme works well and I would love this photo in black and white. You can almost feel like you are standing right there in the photo, I think, in this one.

Session 15: Final post Project 3

In the first photo, I believe there are two focal points. One person may look directly into the center where the trees look farthest away and another may look at the flowers in the front. The brain knows that flowers aren't bigger than trees so we look at the photo and realize there is depth going on here. The color scheme is the yellow in the flowers throughout the grassy field and the continuation of green all throughout.

In photos 2 and 3 The focal points are the wood planks farthest away. The angle at which the wood planks are viewed give this depth. The wood planks being vertical and right next to each other give it texture and movement. The tints on the sides and shades on the backs give it more depth. The color scheme are the browns throughout the wood in the fence, the planter box and the chairs.

In photo #4 the focal point is almost in the center again. The angles and sizes of these bars give it movement and depth. The bars in the top half of the photo being larger than all the others helps you see dimension also. You almost feel as if you are standing there. The color scheme is the rust and greens throughout the whole photo, I would really love this photo in black and white.
