witch hat atelier colouring yay yay yay
ive been a fan since 2021 so seeing the anime makes me so happy :')
THE WITCH HAT ATELIER ANIME IS SO GOOD!!!
I started and finished the whole thing today on a whim and I’m so glad I did!
The characters are amazing, Coco is my favorite and any slander is not allowed. She is so amazed by everything and it feels very realistic to how I would act in her situation. She my spirit animal for real…
Qifrey is a cool mentor, I like how menacing he gets when his students are threatened. Those are his daughters! Olruggio is also such an interesting character. We haven’t seen him draw a spell yet I believe and he mostly relies on his rings. It’s interesting because he would rather do something once instead of drawing the spells which is very cool.
The whole magic system is so creative! I love how depending on how clean or precise the drawing is the stronger it is. Also the world is so beautiful but simple. It really is a normal medieval world but with cool drawing magic.
The apprentices are so cutesy! I was mad at Aggot at first but she has grown on me. Also her design is really nice to look at. Tetia is such an enjoyable character, I smile every time she talks. Her dream to sleep on clouds is so sweet that I can’t help but believe in her. We haven’t seen much of Richech but I like what I’ve seen. A quieter character who isn’t mean or introverted but just like that is interesting. I hope we learn more about her though.
The whole found family thing is probably my favorite though. Just two dads raising 4 daughters is adorable.
Can’t wait for episode 8!
BLIND, DEAF, MUTE, AND ????!?

The last thing he had thought, was someone trusting him. After the last few weeks and everything they had done; let alone put other through, they hadn’t even dared to think anyone would trust him again. But Abolish had trusted him. He wasn't going to betray that trust. Ever. The things he would do for that man.
Abolish stood with his back to Pyro, looking like he belonged, there right in his own home. He had removed all silver, so that they could get inside. It was thoughtful of him to think like that. This was the same man whom Scott feared. The same one that has seen his roses as a gift, ignoring its true intention, in favour to hope Pyro wasn’t harming anyone. Maybe he had been right. Pyro hadn’t wanted to hurt anyone; he had just the desire to live. A desire Sire hated to his core. He had come to Oakhurst, trying to escape his past. A past he wasn’t even sure he could remember. He couldn’t trust himself to remember.
He couldn’t trust himself with anything. He was not to be left alone for too long, or else he had a habit of scratching until they bled. Bled like a dying monster in a cage. In their opinion that was all they deserved, but not in Abolish’s gentle eyes. In his, he was nothing but a lost and afraid vampire, who did what he had to, to stay alive out there. With Scott having assured him, that he was indeed always watching, they had slowly gone paranoid, afraid of messing anything up, or ever uttering something wrong under his breath.
A small huff from the butler dragged the vampire from his racing thoughts, and back to the human’s tiny cottage.
Abolish had abandoned his coat and vest and slowly undid the top few buttons of his shirt. He hesitantly but, steadily, removed the shirt from one collarbone, exposing most of his shoulder too. At first, Pyro wasn’t sure if that was his cue, and he was too scared of messing anything up, that he just stood still. Now was a good time he was technically dead, because he would surely have forgotten to take a breath. He sucked in an unnecessary breath and prepared himself for the worst. Pyro moved, light on his feet as to not scare the latter. In just a few steps, he was right behind Abolish, pressed up against his back.
They fit together like two puzzle pieces, made for each other. Like this was meant to be, they were meant to be. But the universe had other plans. When they had been turned, they thought for sure, that now he was truly a monster. The monster everyone he had ever know, always had seen, they saw it too now. The monster who fled every time. Fled from his old life, fled from Sire and Wrath, fled from the truth once his lungs were filled to the brim with water. Fled from the responsibility of having turned the innocent, fled from every living, breathing thing. All he wished to do, was to flee from this nightmare, called his life.
That was the kind of monster he was. The kind, naive, loyal, hidden, betraying monster.
But not for Abolish, no. Abolish treated him the same, human or vampire. Pyro wished he could take a look inside the head of the butler. To see through his eyes, even if just for a mere second. They so desperately wanted to see the truth. He had seen something in him, that he didn’t see himself.
Someone worth saving.
When Pyro had been caught sneaking around the walls of Oakhurst, Abolish hadn’t called anyone. That would have been the obvious thing to do. To call for back-up, seeing as the vampires were a problem. But this wasn’t anyone else, this was Abolish. He had simply asked why he was there, and how could they not tell the truth to the one person that truly cared. Not cared like Shelby cared, no, like he didn’t have to care, but he did. Abolish truly cared about everyone in Oakhurst, so why did Pyro have to think he was special. There was nothing special about them. Yet, Abolish cared. That was what made Pyro's dead heart thud in this fast and uncomfortable way, but at the same time it was the best feeling.
It was a feeling he were not familiar with, and that scared him. The unknown scared him.
The truth was, they hadn’t eaten in days. Sire had been denying him access to the coven’s supplies, ever since he had turned Shelby. It was torture to be at the castle, hearing the prey walking around in the courtyard, living and breathing. They had to hunt in the dead woods every single day, as it was pretty clear, the other vampires had wiped the pines clean of any animals. The dead woods was, as the name suggests, dead. It had been almost a month since he last had anything to eat, let alone drink, and were starving, just looking for cattle to kill.
Anything to seduce the feeling of starvation, that had slowly been building up inside his gut.
Abolish had taken it upon him to shocked them. He tilted his head, so he looked at the vampire from another angle. Another angle that probably made him look smaller, and even more pathetic. Pyro was lucky that, before getting cast out of the coven to ‘learn’ his mistake, he had a rather large supply of blood waiting in his make-shift mineshaft, which had turned into his home as of recently.
He hadn’t wanted to open up, to spill everything to this stranger of a foe. But how could he not when it was Abolish. They glanced up at those warm, dark amber eyes. The ones whose edge softened when looking at them and made them feel a sense of unknown safety. How could he not whisper the few simple words of hunger, and make the butler see.
“Come with me,”
Abolish had not uttered it like a commando, yet they still stiffened before complying. The walk through Oakhurst was surprisingly quiet, given how they had practically started a war against the vampires. But Pyro couldn’t see anyone besides them and the human in front, leading them to the edge of the town wall, to a small house, sat alone. Isolated from the rest of town.
That’s when it hit them. Abolish was taking him to his house. No. Inviting him to his house.
Abolish, a human, had invited Pyro, a vampire, into his home. At first, they thought that it was a trick, a plan, to backstab him. It would be so easy. But even when all instincts screamed that this was a setup, they nodded and followed the strange butler.
They let one hand snake around his waist, somehow pulling him impossibly closer. Their other hand found Abolish's hand, and they intertwined their fingers. They told themselves, that it was only because, he would need something to anchor him. That was the only reason. Bloodletting could make the offeror weak and sluggish, so it was best this way. Pyro kept repeating that in his head, until he was convinced.
To his surprise the other relaxed into him, like he was the safest thing in the entire world.
He was their entire world.
The last few days had driven him to the point of insanity, and they knew just as well as the human in his arms, that had Abolish not offered his blood tonight, someone might have gotten hurt. Someone innocent. They had thought about taking one of the ‘weaker’ human and enthralling, but Sire’s words bore into his skull every time. It was enough to make them lose their appetite.
Back at the coven, they wouldn’t have had that issue. But it was his own fault. Taking Sire’s snack was a bad idea to start off with but seeing how Wrath had just played innocent in all this once again, they knew, it was over for them. Technically, he was still a part of the coven, just not relying on their supplies.
He shuddered at the memory, of his own turning coming to life on the inside of his eyes. Being chased down the shore into the water, as the two monsters swarmed them, holding their head under water, while feeding off him. Lungs filled with water, and bubbles stopped reaching the surface. Then everything fell dark, and their head and body filled with this weird buzzing, that tingled all the way out to the tips of their fingers.
Abolish turned his head to look him in the eyes, confusion written across his features. Had Pyro hesitated for too long? Was he having second thoughts, and was regretting trusting him? Why couldn't he just open that pretty mouth, and use those pretty words?
"What’s wrong?"
Pyro's breath hitched. How could it not, when Abolish was the most adorable and considering person to ever have put feet on earth. Those big, dark amber eyes, they were filled with the most vulnerable trust they had ever seen. It was like looking at a wild animal, that had trusted him to help them. They softened completely under his gaze.
"Nothing, you’re just so.... wow" he breathed, because that was exactly what he was. Breathtaking.
The smallest hint of a smile ghosted Abolish's lips, and the tips of his ears turned the most adorable shade of pink, as he leaned back in Pyro again. They looked down at the bare shoulder presented for them. It was pale, but not sickly pale like a vampire's skin. It was a beautiful kind of pale, one that was dusted with tiny freckles that looked like stardust. He wondered where else he had hidden freckles, and if they ever formed a pattern. His face was free of them, so had he not offered blood, Pyro would have never found out about these.
How was it even legal for a man this wonderful to walk around freely, that is something Pyro found himself asking.
He lowered his head to rest his lips on the shoulder, the act resembling that of a kiss. A small, strangled noise came from the other but was gone as fast as it had appeared. But it was a noise that the vampire savoured. It was rare for anyone to catch Abolish off guard, so to be the one to do that was enough to have them grinning against his skin. They saw his ears turning more pink for every second, and they imagined his face have the same shade. He probably looked gorgeous, even if he was a mess. Abolish always, somehow, looked put together and in control, no matter the situation. But not this time, and Pyro was the cause of that.
Pyro flashed his fangs and pierced the skin. Another strangled noise. They already felt guilty, as soon as the sound hit their ears. He wanted to cause no harm, but that thought had already left him, as Abolish’s blood made its way down his throat. The sickly-sweet taste of blood, filled his mouth, flowed on his tongue, as they greedily ate. Abolish tasted so, so sweet, much better than any cattle. He couldn’t even begin to compare cattle with this heavenly taste. But then of course, it had to match its owner.
It was first when they felt the butler’s balance shift, that they detached from him. It took everything in them to not latch on again, but Abolish’s state was enough to make them feel guilty all over again. Pyro were holding him up right, being the only thing that wouldn’t end in the latter faceplanting.
“Thank you for trusting me” Pyro whispered in his ear, as he placed a gentle kiss on the new, fresh bitemark.
