So I know there are many out there who are in love with Dumbledore and all but hear me out.
- He knew Petunia from the start. For a person with the capability to be able to beat the dark lord, he should have known that she would never treat Harry well. So don’t give me crap that he didn’t know Harry wouldn’t be treated well.
- So basically he knew and still let it be and never did anything about it for 11 years. Basically he let a little kid be abused for 10 years, and did absolutely nothing about.
-Some may say he had Arebella Fig watch over him, but did she do anything in anyway to stop the abuse? the answer is NO.
- When Sirius was blamed for the murder, Dumbledore knew that Sirius wasn’t the culprit. All it would have taken was a legal trial with vertaserum and for a person with the amount of power Dumbledore had, it would have been a piece of cake to do this. But yet again Dumbledore fails to do the needful and lets an innocent man rot in azkaban for 11 years.
- I’m not incredibly sure on why Dumbledore would have wanted for Sirius to be away but this is my theory: Dumbledore didn’t want Harry growing up knowing the story of him or his parents. He wanted Harry away from the magical worls and he knew for sure that Sirius wouldn’t ever give up custody of his godson, thereby putting him in Azkaban to keep him away.
- He did not care to think that an innocent child’s ENTIRE childhood would be a nightmare if he did this. He did not care to think Harry would NEVER HAVE A CHILDHOOD AT ALL if he did this.
-Then there is also the thing in 5th year when he avoided Harry the whole damn year when that was the year Harry needed support the most.
I just want to make it clear here that I don’t ever mean to offend anyone or their choices, but this is my view and i wanted to share it so here it is. I respect every person’s individual opinion so please do not think that this is to offend anyone in any manner.
