Fun fact: menstrual blood was used often in witchcraft and other pagan religions. However, do to the rise in STIs and other contagious and possibly fatal diseases, as a botanical, it grew unpopular... thank gosh, am I right?

Love Yourself Jar Spell

This is an easy spell jar I created for myself with things I had at home and I thought maybe someone would like something with ingredients that aren’t super hard to find.

Of course, you can swap out any ingredient you think has no space in your personal jar; also if you don’t have something you can leave it out or swap it for something you think fits just as well.

What you’ll need:  - a small jar - rose petals (love, happiness) - lavender (love, healing, peace) - sea salt (purification, protection) - rose or pink candle (self-love, harmony) - something to light the candle with

What you do: There will be 5 layers, each ingredient will be filled 1/5 of the glass. While creating the jar keep your intent in mind, put it into every single atom you fill into the jar.

1) Put salt into the jar, right at the bottom 2) Follow up with rose petals 3) Lavender is next! 4) Take the rose petals again 5) Finish the inner space of the jar with more salt 6) Close the jar with the cork (or however it’s closed) 7) Light the candle 8) Seal the top of the jar with the wax

You now have love, healing and peace wrapped in love and happiness protected and purified by the salt on the outside.

Dangers of ignorant witchcraft...

I was nineteen when I performed my first love spell. I didn’t look it up. I did what I felt in my heart. I charged an apple, carved an eye into it, sewed the name of a loved one with yellow thread and buried it in the back yard. I called it, “The Apple of My Eye Spell.” I prayed and got what I wanted... or so I thought. 

It took a couple months but this loved one fell in to my lap. They were immediately interested in friendship but it quickly led into a sexual relationship, which later formed into a romantic relationship. After months of dating, they moved in. 

Everything escalated so quickly that I thought I could ignore their red flags. They grew controlling, obsessive, and unfaithful. The relationship was so abusive that I wanted to let go but they’d threaten to kill themselves or me. Yet, they cheated on me every chance they could. I asked the universe for the attention of a person who I found out was a sociopath. I did multiple binding spells on them, until I fell silent, and they finally let go.

The sad thing was I didn’t think the spell would work. Every movement of the craft felt so numbing.

Moral of the story: Take caution, learn from your mistakes, and if ye harm none, do what ye will.
