basically i'm friends with these two girls, my best friend (that we're going to call mia) and another friend that has (no offence) been kind of annoying for a while with more personal things that i'll get into later (we're calling this 'friend' olivia and shortening THAT to liv cus i'm lazy) these aren't their actual names btw!
okay so mia and liv are friends too, which is VERY important to this. it's not like their just friendly/civil because they're both friends with me. they've actually been friends with each other longer than i've been friends with mia and liv separately. i'm talking primary school (elementary school).
back in the good old days, mia and liv used to be bery good friends. "omg i love mia sm i hope we can meet up one day she's so sweet" until mia got a boyfriend (who we are gonna call ryan). now, they were still friends throughout this. it's more when mia and ryan broke up (can u see where this is going yet? lmaoo).
for context, mia broke up with ryan because he was really up her ass. like he would be waiting outside of her classes for her every single day and be talking to her non stop and then would follow her about like a puppy but not really talk to her? then when they go home after school he'd only really talk to her over text for some reason. idk i don't go to the same school as them two. he was also really weird about guys. now mia isn't a slag and talking to guys while she has a boyfriend. ryan got mad at her once for sitting next to a boy in class. a class with a SEATING PLAN. she can't help it. and for asking another one about homework or something i can't remember. he'd also be begging for her attention 24/7 and say kinda weird things and by the end he would be really mean to her and all that. after they broke up he kept texting her and begging her STILL and then he just got angry and mean again. then he gave up which is really good in my opinion because why are you still doing that? silly moid 😂.
okay so then ryan reposts really... strange things about missing his ex yada yada yada. but i don't follow ryan for obvious reasons... and mia is blocked im pretty sure. so she gets LIV to stalk his reposts for her to see what he's doing after telling her about how mean and weird he was. these could vary from "i miss her" to "i fucking hate that bitch" or something corny like that. liv was literally there for mia when this was happening.
now around two-ish months after they broke up. everyone is happy. no more ryan yay! he's an irrelevant side character now!!!

they both post on tiktok so it's obvious. they like glaze each other in their comments and it's kinda sappy and weird and vomit-inducing... 👀. i kinda saw it and was like "does mia know about this?" and then was going to ask her later but i guess she beat me to it because she said she really needs to talk to me after i get out of school because we end late as fuck for some reason. okay whatever probably about her school friends. nope, she's caught on about liv and ryan! great... so now i'm like getting voice notes and texts and calls and she's like near tears obviously. because why would your primary school friends who was right there when you broke up with your dumb ass shitty weirdo larping socially awkward ex start talking to bro for like... no reason?
mia is my best friend, so i told her i'd ask liv about it in school. i go to school the next morning and ask one of my other friends, "do you think it's weird if one of your friends dates one of our friends ex?" "is this about liv?"
so she knows what she's doing? personally i think that's slag behaviour but correct me on this at the end because i am lowkey unsure.
this other friend goes and tells me that liv has told like most of our school friend group about ryan... but she has made it seem like her and mia aren't friends. "is it okay if i talk to EMMA'S friend mia's ex?" not "is it okay if i talk to MY friend mia's ex?" (i'm calling myself emma i'm being mysterious).
i'm kinda shocked by this whole thing because liv has been like talking about ryan for a week or two and texting other friend screenshots of their messages like "#bagging" or something corny like dat. she's explaining everything she can remember about what liv said and i'm kinda just aitting there like wtf??? then i tell her what ACTUALLY happened. like how liv and mia are actually friends and liv was literally there when mia and ryan broke up when he was being horrible to her. i'm only realising that liv has been shady around me recently. she's been complaining about 'being sick' but i think that's a lie now and she's getting away from me to avoid confrontation. i'm also not on her private stories anymore so she kinda knows that it's wrong (i also don't think she likes me but that doesn't matter rn mia matters).
so liv goes home early after giving me weird looks... all day. 👀👀👀 shadyyyyyyy
then other friend texts me when we all go home saying that liv is freaking out cus of one of my reposts. it was something like "it's really weird to go out with your friends ex btw" or something like that. now i usually don't do directed reposts because mine are strictly sarcastic videos 90% of the time and i meant that like in general. but kinda directed at her? she texts other friend a buncha stuff saying "ugh idk why emma is so mad" or something. bro take a look at what ur doing??? 😭😭😭 she basically give me a rundown on what she's saying. apparently there's 'reasons' for her talking to ryan. they're gonna be complete bullshit because of the fact u were right there when mia and ryan broke up 😭😭😭. one of them was "mia broke up with ryan" doesn't that... make it worse? like she obviously broke up with HIM for a reason..? and you KNOW the reason?? another one was "oh mia and emma hate him they always joke about him" again... doesn't that... make it worse if she hates him...? where is the decency...?
now i wouldn't really care about this is mia was a hoe and had 50 billion boyfriends like that one rabbit from 2022 that i love. or if they ended on good terms and mia gave her permission to go out with ryan.
but nooooo... she goes behind mia's back AND mine and asks people have literally no knowledge or context on the situation for their opinion on it while actively changing everything up to make herself look better. (remember her saying 'emma's friend mia') which implies that they aren't friends and they're only civil and know each other through me. like bro?
so ya other friend tells me everything liv has been saying about the whole thing. also she's really paranoid that i don't like her. now i did like liv before. she could be a little... much. but i still liked her? she thought i removed her from a private story when i lit just made a new one (she's on it btw). but she removed me from hers ages ago? the hypocrisy? now i'm debating being petty and taking her off my other one. but then again you do kill em with kindness 👀👀👀 but she doesn't deserve an ounce of kindness even if it's sarcastic.
now i'm worried that liv is going to make a whole big deal out of this with or friend group that has nothing to do with this situation. but tbf i doubt they could care any less because some of them don't exactly like her because of how she gets on sometimes... i'll admit she's annoyed me more than enough times but i always liked her until now.
i believe that other friend also thinks that this is weird asf now that i've given her the ACTUAL context of what happened and not a shit ton of white lies to make a certain someone look better COUGH COUGH 👀👀👀👀👀👀.
anywho if anyone read all of this give me your honest opinion. should i try talking to her about it or should i leave it? i just want advice and people telling me if i'm right or wrong or what. idm giving more context either if i can because this is kind of condensed.
i'm only getting involved because mia is my best friend and i genuinely hate it when people are mean to people like her because she's literally the sweetest girl ever. she doesn't want to start anything even though her and liv don't go to the same school. i've told her to just block liv on everything and if she has a problem she can come to me but she's too nice to do anything unfortunately.
