Unfortunately, I had a thought, and now I need to share it. In the Star Rail/UBW trailer from today, there's a short moment where Rin is introduced as "Average One"

And I've seen a couple people joking about how it's bullshit and she's not average, to which I'd like to throw my hat in the ring and say that I think it means "average" in the math sense--i.e. "the sum of all variables divided by the number of variables". I am tragically a fake Fate fan, though, and still haven't finished the VNs, so we're going to Grand Order for this part.

Specifically, this CE:

Yep, there's literally one called Average One depicting Rin Tohsaka in reference to the second magic (which if you don't know TL;DR is called Kaleidoscope and is the power to perceive/interact with other dimensions/realities, using the diffraction of light as a metaphor for branching possibilities) Update: not even close, Average One refers to a mage capable of using all 5 elements.

Which leads me to the conclusion everyone's already come to: the reason it's referencing Fate media outside of UBW is because the Rin Tohsaka here isn't just one Rin, but an amalgamation of the various Rins & Ishtars across the series (UBW, Heaven's Feel, Grand Order, & Strange Fake) in a more literal sense, coalesced through the use of Second Magic. Though how and why I have no damn clue. And since I am still on the Herta Space Station, I'll just have to watch someone else to find out.

This also provided me with an excuse to use Voyager as a serious farmer.
