Hard to believe another year has flown by. So much has happened, so much awaits. Wishing everyone love, health and wealth. Happy New Year!

Surviving 11/9

We must focus on what is important and not mere distraction. We as a nation will survive.We've proven our strength. When this country was pulled out of the Paris agreement, people in the government and positions of power came together to ensure things were done in the best interest of the people. When Hurricane Maria devastated an island filled with 3.4 million Americans, 5 former Presidents united to provide assistance in a timely manner when allegedly, there was hesitation to lift the Jones Act because it would hurt the shipping business. While a President picked a verbal confrontation with a mayor of a devastated city calling the people lazy, other mayors came to her aid. This kneeling football protest started under one President, who calmly and professionally stated his opinion in a manner that kept the country together. When it happened this time, players were called SOBs, after Neonazis were referred to as "fine people" . This united team members in solidarity. It takes guts to walk into a lions den, and they did willingly.They earned my admiration. Although I would have preferred a different protest method, the NFL's willingness to stand strong for their beliefs is what made is country a world leader. The country and flag, temporarily torn apart by confusion, will survive. It survived the Civil War, Dec 7th, and 9/11. It will survive 11/9.

Jeff Sessuons

Next victim. While I am not a Sessions' supporter normally, I support his decision to not resign. The only reason Jeff Sessions is being thrown under the bus is because he recused himself from the Russian investigation, not because he's incompetent. His resignation will just benefit a president, who like Teflon, nothing sticks. Nothing sticks but his own desires, views and self serving purposes. Jeff Sessions do not resign, force hm to fire you. Hang in there.

It's hard to watch the flushing of this great country. We were the leader. The word looked up to us. The world is now passing us by and its our fault for choosing this individual. Just as with his casino and university, no one wins but him. We may never recover from our self-imossed fourth world status.

Lonliness

there's nothing worse then feeling alone, actually being alone. No one cares. Everyone considers you a bother. People reach out when they need you or money. I can sit on a sofa for 36 hours. No one calls but the Telemarketers. Your kids considers you a bother until....

Parental Relationship

I've heard that your relationship with your parents can define you. I've spent a lifetime trying to dispel this notion, only to realize that I've proven it to be true. As much as I've tried not to let my mother's hurtful events bother me, they do. As loving and supportive as she;s been, she's surpassed each event with a mountain of spiteful, hurtful antics which would put Misery to shame. One of the things that has helped me survived much of the abuse is the fact that my dad, as horrible as my mother has painted him, loved me. Another is that God put a woman in my Life that has loved me unconditionally. However, my birth mother still bothers me.

Life's Confusions

Life is confusing. As parents we expect our children to respect us while they expect us to care for them. The understanding is unconditional love everyone is burn with. However, when a parent uses the relationship to punish, confusion sets in. Ideally one can disagree and finally just agree to disagree. But when the ultimate price for stating your opinion or not sacrificing your existence to the whim of a parent is banishment from the kingdom, you learn nothing positive.d. Years are wasted, precious moments are not shared or enjoyed. Ultimately, everyone suffers. It is hard to break the cycle for you have to survive. The ultimate price can be your totally well being.

Immigrant Contributions, History Repeats itself.

History reminds us that the arrival of new ethnic groups into the United States, outside of the Pilgrims, were each met with hostility and extreme prejudice. The Irish were subjected to employment difficulties with signs "Irish need not apply". However, they were the main laborers building the Erie Canal. The conditions were harsh and many died. The Chinese were also not welcomed but built the most of the railroads in California, again under extreme hardships and dangers resulting in many deaths. Puerto Ricans were not received with open arms either, just watch "West Side Story". In fact, Puerto Ricans did not ask or wait on line to become American citizens. In March of 1917, an act of Congress granted citizenship and two months later 20,000 non-English speaking residents were drafted into military service in support of WW 1. These are historical facts, not "alternative" facts. However folks, this is the 21st Century and education should have taught us to stop repeating somethings in history. Each new ethnic group has made a tremendous contribution to this nation. My apologies to the ethnic groups I did not cover. Finally folks, keep your eyes on the bouncing ball. Remember the pipelines where the Native Americans are again losing their lands. Protesters can now legally be run over by "accident and not intentional". Oil companies do not have to report oil spillage and the aftermath of such (drinking water). We gotta stay focused and not allow "alternative facts" to obscure the truth. Today is tomorrow's history. What will it say about us?

Gotta admit, no one has had more impact in 10 days than President Trump. He has managed to unite millions of Americans. True, it's against him but you can't have everything. Can't wait to see what awaits us tomorrow.

It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights. The Tribes protesting in Dakota need support. Dakota is passing a law that does not hold a driver liable if a protester is hit as long as it is not deliberate. Our Native Americans brothers and sisters have suffered enough. Did we just get our first international black eye, and a threat from another country to kick our butts if we did't stop the nonsense? I feel like I'm back on the schoolyard.

Bully in the play ground

We, Americans just received our first international black eye. A long line is forming to continue the beatings. We did start the antibullying campaign and then became the biggest bully in the playground. Mexico just blackened our eye, andChina threatened to kick our butts if we don’t stop. This guy is going to have America removed from the history pages and placed on a comic strip.

In 6 days

In 6 days, our president managed to piss off China, Mexico, women, LGBTQ and who knows whom else. Hopefully, when he learns what every loud mouth in the playground eventually learns, it won’t be at the detriment of our country. History shows what happens when a country picks fights on too many fronts.
