Double Standards/References in The Man Music Video
Sorry, was I loud?’
In my own house.
That I bought.
With the songs that I wrote.
About my own life.“
If I was a man…I’d be the man.
every single point made in that video proves how awful some men are and every person ever just looks right past it because these issues happen so often that it’s not even surprising when a man treats a woman like that
Tattooing this on my face so people can know where I go:
For some reason this is exactly how I pictured Taylor taking a shot
rare footage of taylor’s inner wizard coming alive
I just watched Miss Americana and I can tell you that I cried through the entire thing. Seeing how far taylor has come and looking back on my journey with her has made me so emotional. I’m so glad that I’ve loved and supported such an amazing person for the past 13 almost 14 years. She has played a huge part in who I am today. She has taught me to believe in myself and to stand up for the things I believe in. She has shown me that it’s okay to speak up not only for myself but for others.
After watching this documentary, it just made me realize how much I love Taylor. She has been there for me through every aspect of my life and I will ALWAYS be there for her. I can’t wait to someday give her the biggest hug and tell her how grateful I am for her and how much I love her.
One thing I took away from this documentary is how Taylor is treated as someone who isn’t human. Yes, I run a blog for her and have my room decked out in her posters and merchandise but us Swifties see her as a REAL PERSON! She is not an object, a robot or a puppet that you can operate. She is a person who is trying to inspire others to do the right thing and do the things they love. She is a person who goes through the same things we go through and on every record she has put out she has shown us just that.
I am so beyond proud to say that I love and support Taylor with my entire being! It is something I will never be ashamed of. I can never fall out of love with her because she has been the one constant in my life, that one person who has always been there for me when nobody else was. She understood me when nobody else could. She cried with me alone in my bedroom at 3 a.m. and wiped my tears away as if the lyrics she sang were the tissues soaking up my tears. She danced with me when I was happy and held me up as I was falling. For that, I am forever grateful.
Taylor, you may not know me but you are my best friend and the greatest thing that’s come into my 22 years of life. Thank you for everything. Thank you for being the light when everything was dark. Thank you for showing us even more of who you are. You are so so strong and I’m so proud of you. I love you forever and ever.
Love, Cheyann

FUCKING THIS
And that’s that on that
i think taylor saying she wants thin skin instead of saying thick skin was really important….there’s always such a huge emphasis on having thick skin and not letting anything get to you but i think having thin skin and actually letting the word have an impact and taking things in as they come is how we move forward and reflect and realize the things that need to change. it can be incredibly hard but i also think it’s incredibly rewarding…..there’s so much strength in being vulnerable
We can’t make any promises now, can we, babe? But you can make me a drink.
my only complaint about miss americana is that it wasn’t 13 hours long
I refuse to believe that the lyrics in ME! are anything but “I know I said some bullshit on the phone.”
also, while we’re on the topic of ME! I really miss, “HEY KIDS!! SPELLING IS FUN!!”
me every morning getting ready for another day to fight for Taylor Swift
Miss Americana (2020) Dir. Lana Wilson
in Miss Americana, we see Taylor at her most vulnerable. We see her afraid, crying, heartbroken. We see her home and her relationship with her parents, team and boyfriend. She is sharing so much with us. I’m so thankful and Taylor, you are so strong. ♥️
Taylor was so successful in creating the “Taylor Swift” brand that people forgot she was just a human being.
Yes she is very talented, but that doesn’t make her immune to all the shit that happens while you’re just existing in the world.
I hope Miss Americana reminds people of this and is one of the first step towards Taylor being able to lead a more normal life over the coming decades.
💕
