@boredlord
I will pay you 13 horses in exchange for just one of your marvelous comics, a dowry would make many a maiden weep with jealousy. Yet you charge merely a single human dollar a page, you give us treasures that would make the mightiest of kings gawk. Early updates, behind the scenes commentary, and patreon only sketches??? I tremble at your generosity, and gratefully thank you that I can look out onto the fields and see my flock of horses graze peacefully.
that's right. because art should be as accessible as possible not only to a paying class. but i WILL eat this guy's horses if you don't give me $1 on patreon. please

The Court at Naglimund
Fanart for Tad Williams’ “Memory, Sorrow and Thorn” Vorzheva being habitually annoyed, Strangyeard loving his scrolls, Josua internally screaming, Deornoth trying to keep his eyes off his prince and Sangfugol being the only sane person around.
Frame and Banners were created with mapeffects.co/. The background texture was included in the pack as well.
Created in Clip Studio Paint on a Wacom Cintiq, edited in Photoshop.

i paid my taxes this year! but to remain sustainable, i would like to make a little more than i do now, especially since patreon is still threatening to pull my per-page payment set-up out from under me lol. this is probably the single most devastating blow i am going to take this year and i am dreading it/the impact its going to have on my job.
i am working to amp up my production (difficult, as per-page fidelity is increasing) and im finally getting to a place where i can try to figure out what else people want, if at all. even $1 a month donations can help, if youre so inclined.
right now, if you sign up, you get a free copy of my book of bad movie reviews and the re-draw of chapter 1 of my webcomic "A Ghost Story".

Imagine being one of the parents for the kids in the Magic School Bus class. Getting those field trip permission slips home every single night.

I really hope nobody minds my reblogging my own work, but I had a mysterious influx of watchers recently and noticed that this ol’ thing was doing the rounds again. And my goodness but it has a lot more notes than the last time I clapped eyes on it. Anyhow, I’ve always wanted to have it on my blog given that it’s probably what brought the majority of you lovely people here in the first place. So here ‘tis.

Drawing Hornet with bug tits out: Pedestrian
Drawing Hornet in timbs and an a yankee cap: Wise
It's not only ludicrously arrogant but also genuinely fascistic to think that there are people out there with no interiority, no real human life in their minds
That being said. Very jarring to realize that someone's Job Interview Personality is just their regular personality
I'm reconciling my experiences and politics by assuming that I just have not earned the Real Personality yet. I can't quite bring myself to accept that there are more facets and nuances to Job Interview Personality than meet the eye, so I'm using CBT to say this guy's secretly a freak (positive)
What I know, logically, to be true, is that just because I find someone boring doesn't mean they are two-dimensional. There are no "normies," only people who have incorrectly correlated internet usage with uniqueness. I know this to be a fact.
But my hindbrain, my id, tells me that nobody who spends money on chatgpt could have anything of value to think or say. This is factually untrue, fun as it may be to treat as truth. But I can't concede to my hindbrain thoughts, ever. The compromise here is convincing myself they have inflation kinks (again, positive)
People who are super passionate about updating LinkedIn are filled with infinite capacity for wisdom, humor, and kindness. I have to believe this. If I can't believe this, everything collapses. They are wiser than anyone who dismisses them as lesser for the mere crime of being kinda dull, externally. I hope someday to believe this fully, but I'm not there yet. I have a lot of anger in my heart, I haven't quite learned to let go of things in a way that will lead me to greater understanding and love.
So. Auto-gaslighting re: inflation kinks. This is my stepping stone towards universal kindness

easy. now what
Long after The Golden Girls had made her a household name, Bea Arthur continued to live a fiercely private life off-screen. What few people knew—even among her closest colleagues—was that she had quietly been one of the main financial backers of a New York shelter for homeless LGBTQ+ youth. In the early 2000s, when she learned from a friend about the rising number of queer teens being kicked out of their homes, Bea was appalled. “Nobody deserves to be thrown away,” she said in one of her rare public statements on the matter.
She didn’t just write checks. Bea would often visit the shelter unannounced, bringing bags of groceries or handmade scarves in winter. She insisted on no photos, no press. Staff recalled that she would sit and listen to the kids for hours, giving them advice, jokes, or just quiet comfort. One counselor remembered a Christmas Eve when Bea stayed well past midnight, helping wrap donated gifts. “She was the grandma they never had,” one former resident said.
After her death in 2009, it was revealed that Bea had left $300,000 in her will to support the shelter, which was renamed in her honor: The Bea Arthur Residence for Homeless LGBTQ+ Youth. In a world that often lauded her for delivering zingers on screen, her most enduring punchline may have been a silent one—providing shelter and dignity to those who needed it most.
