@rantsofarunner
After an 8 mile run this morning with my sister, I managed to stay in the sun for a few more hours with a 9 mile hike. Thank you, Portland for the sun today.
Need to make this my daily goals
This sums up my daily checklist.
Getting "back into shape" is really a personal phrase because it suggests you were once in better shape and no other person can know what that was. Maybe you used to run 40 miles a week and now you run 20. So back means getting closer to the 40 range, but people get mad because if you run 20 miles per week, you MUST be in good shape already, right?
Like I said, my "in shape" and your "in shape" look different. It's equally as awesome for someone to go from no exercise to any exercise. But there's something insanely difficult about trying to reach a previous fitness you were in. You know you are capable but it's crazy hard to get back there.
Me: Wow! I've been really warm the past few nights in bed. That's crazy, because it's so chilly outside.
Also me: *scoots between the 4 layers of blankets* interesting. It's a mystery we may never solve.
Muddy and beautiful.
I want to be my best self and run a lot of miles
me making coffee: this is going to fix everything.
Rainy refreshing run!
Growing up: I used to share and split meals because I couldn't eat all of a dish. Now, I eat all my own food and troll for everyone else's just to feel full.
I recently realized I'm right around the age of the Friends characters when the show began. This makes me feel oddly strange and good. Like, maybe I'm not supposed to have my life together and it's okay to want to sit and drink coffee with your friends all the time. Right?
It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to has power over you.

Nothing quite like running a half marathon with friends. We ran the Phoenix Rock N Roll, which I've done with family and friends for about 8 years now (I missed on year when I studied abroad) and I keep coming back for more! A fun trip to visit family, explore with friends and run for fun! Until next time, AZ.
me: *pretends to not be addicted to caffeine*
also me: *unable to do any meaningful work before drinking the sacred "productivity juice"*
