Levanna Ritesmith ♥ Necromancer ♥ Human Pact Co-Commander ♥ Priestess of Grenth

Birthday: November 4th (Scorpio) Alignment: Lawful Neutral Age: 33 Height: 5′3″ Pronouns: She/Her Sexuality: Panromantic Demisexual Levanna is a serious person who learned from an early age that to be taken seriously sometimes a little force was required. From the back streets of Divinity’s Reach she made her way floating from group to group until she was picked up by a Priest of Grenth who recognized she had a feel for death and spirits. Her time learning the funerary rites for those who have passed on kept her off the street and out of some of the more dangerous areas in the city. During this time she discovered she could summon spirits she had a strong connection with to help her in times of trouble.  As an adult, Levanna has a great respect for how people grieve and manage their dead and spends what time she has learning new customs and traditions for different communities. Whether Awakened, burned, or entombed she is fascinated by the different practices of cultures. Levanna co-commands the pact with a sylvari named Lilee (played by @wyld-valiant).The more paperwork focused of the two commanders, Levanna is a master at delegation and works hard to keep her personal feelings away from her ability to run a position of command.  Currently she is grieving the betrayal and abandonment she feels from the Six human gods moving away from Tyria and the implications surrounded with it. She’s been leaning heavily on her current love interest, a sylvari named Jastien (played by @wyld-valiant) during this time and pushing aside her own emotional needs by burying herself in paperwork.  ================ Like Levanna? Illuminosa - Sylvari Necromancer

I made a new babe purely for rp reasons. I’m attempting @mordantcrescent ‘s GW2 Adventure Challenge with her and can’t wait to see how things go. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun!

Illuminosa’s hair is where she get’s her name, it tends to attract Arachnocampa luminosa (glow worms) that then fly around her flashing their little lights. She’s sensitive to bright lights and works best at dusk or dawn, 

Illuminosa also likes to talk to ghosts and spirits, finding reasons for them to perform the tasks she asks of them rather than forcing them into it. 

Ever curious and driven to learn, she like to talk and ask questions (sometimes to the annoyance of her non-sylvari companions).

Character: Banebrush

Based on a dead tree, his coloring changes based on the environment he is in. 

In a humid and sunny environment he tends to grow large quantities of ferns, moss, and mushrooms as well as becoming more luminate, He bark starts to crumble at the touch and leaves behind large chunks of wet sawdust. During this time he tends to attract a biomass all his own and is slow to move. 

In arid environments he bleached out quickly, the moss growing on him dies and falls off, and his glow color changes. He becomes very hard like bone. During these times he rarely wears additional armor because his skin is thick and hard enough that most blows glance off of him. He wears clothing simply for the sake of other races.

Overall Banebrush is difficult to burn (typically due to being too wet) and blends well with his natural environment. This allows him to set up ambushes for enemies for him and his pet.

I’ve had a lot more characters than these over the years but these are the ones that have really stuck with me and that I’ve really developed lore for.

I’ve said this before and I’m saying it again: Game makers don’t give a damn about birds. I am yet to see a game with even remotely good feather wings. (the GW2 bats actually have pretty nice membrane ones)

These, as I call them, fly swatter looking wings have been a thing ever since 3D animating in games became a thing and what helped me ignore them in GW2 was the fact that nothing major had them. But now we have the best mount in the game (undeniably the most viable form of transportation and also somewhat of a status symbol) that has these… stick flappers. All they really need is surface area. You could ignore all the minor anatomical corrections I made and just give them more surface and you’d have DECENT wings. Arguably also better wings than 90% of game wings out there.

Path of Fire has amazing content. I love the maps, the story and the mounts. Their animations are gorgeous and fluid, and the cat-owl griffon is still my favourite, despite its ugly, dysfunctional wings.
